Experimental Investigation of Mechanical and Electromagnetic Performance of Asphalt Concrete Containing Different Ratios of Graphite Powder as a Filler to be Potentially Used as Pa...
Published 2023-12-01“…As graphite powder ratios in the asphalt mixes increased, their Marshall stability, flow, voids filled with asphalt and unit weight test results mostly decreased but their air content and voids in mineral aggregate test results increased. Possible reasons for this could be: (1) lower bulk specific gravity of graphite powder, (2) higher asphalt absorbance, (3) having greater surface area compared to that of limestone filler, and (4) weak bonds between sheet-like graphite layers. …”

Multi-criteria decision-making method for emergency shelter site selection considering flood risk: A case study of Zhuhai, China
Published 2025-02-01“…To address these two issues, this study innovatively proposes a new multi-criteria decision-making model for selecting urban emergency shelter sites. (1) For the first time, the model systematically classifies the factors affecting the location of emergency shelter sites into four categories: hazard, exposure, vulnerability, and relief capacity, from which 11 decision-making indicators, such as flood risk, precipitation, and slope, are selected; (2) The model integrates multiple algorithms, including analytic hierarchy process, entropy weight method, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and TOPSIS, during the decision-making process, and is capable of comprehensively weighing the expert's subjective preferences, objective indicator levels and the relationship between multiple indicators to achieve a more reasonable ranking. The model was applied and evaluated in the city of Zhuhai as an example, and the results showed that more than 90% of the existing emergency shelters and natural disaster shelters in this study were located near the selected sites. …”

Regional modeling of surface solar radiation, aerosol, and cloud cover spatial variability and projections over northern France and Benelux
Published 2025-01-01“…A regional evaluation of 2010–2020 ALADIN hindcast simulations of clear-sky and all-sky SSR, clear-sky frequency, and aerosols, through comparison to coincident multi-site ground-based measurements, shows reasonable agreement. In addition, these hindcast simulations emphasize how elevated aerosol loads over Benelux and high cloud cover over southwestern England reduce the SSR. …”
