Feedback bit allocation in distributed antenna array systems by Shuai ZHANG, Peng PAN, Cui WANG

    Published 2020-11-01
“…In a frequency division duplex communication system, precoding at the base station usually requires terminal feedback channel state information. In a distributed array system, the channel conditions between the terminal and different access nodes in the cell are different because multiple access nodes are arranged at different locations in the cell. When the resources for feedback channel state information are limited, the allocation method of feedback bit needs to be optimized to improve the overall performance of the system. In a multi-user distributed array system,an access node selection method based on distance threshold was adopted.Based on this method, the quantization characteristics of the random vector quantization codebook and the Taylor expansion method were used to derive the system quantization capacity loss, and then an approximate expression was given.Based on this expression,a feedback bit allocation method was proposed.Compared with other allocation methods, the method of this paper was more universal because it did not limit the number of access nodes selected by the user. The simulation results show that the strategy proposed is superior to the traditional equal-bit allocation scheme and can obtain better performance when the feedback resources are limited.…”

Fitting Geometric Shapes to Fuzzy Point Cloud Data by Vincent B. Verhoeven, Pasi Raumonen, Markku Åkerblom

    Published 2025-01-01
“…We illustrate the approach with laser scanning data of a cylinder and compare its performance with that of the conventional least squares method with and without random sample consensus (RANSAC). Our proposed method fits the geometry more accurately, albeit generally with greater uncertainty, and shows promise for geometry reconstruction with laser-scanned data.…”

On the Forced Response of Harmonically and Partially Mistuned Bladed Disks. Part I: Harmonic Mistuning by Marc P. Mignolet, Wei Hu, Ioan Jadic

    Published 2000-01-01
“…Harmonic mistuning refers to single wavelength variations in structural properties along the disk while partial mistuning is associated with blade characteristics that are random in a specific sector and tuned elsewhere. The results of this analysis demonstrate that many features of the response of these simple systems match not only qualitatively but also quantitatively their counterparts on randomly mistuned bladed disks. …”

Task Scheduling Framework of Multi-stage and Multi-strategy for Remote Sensing Satellites by Qunbin YUE, Xijie SHANG, Xiaoyong LIN, Wei FU

    Published 2024-06-01
“…With the deepening of the support of remote sensing satellites for all kinds of applications, the external environment faced by satellite mission planning system is complex and changeable, such as satellite orbit adjustment, sudden failure in orbit, random arrival of tasks, changes in imaging conditions, etc., and the randomness of emergency events is greatly improved. The traditional periodic centralized mission planning framework is gradually unable to meet the requirements of high timeliness and high response.By analyzed the types and changing rules of the external environment of the system, the task planning framework of segmented sub-strategy adjustment was designed, as well as the corresponding scheduling strategy and object state management mechanism, and the efficient response ability to emergency emergencies was realized. The technical framework was adopted in a remote satellite mission management and control system project and the corresponding software was developed. The actual operation results of the system showed that the technical framework of mission planning with segmented strategy proposed in this paper basically met the requirements of high adaptability and high response caused by dynamic changes of external environment, and greatly improved the automation degree and timeliness index of the system.…”
