Enhancing the efficiency of the cultivation of cladocerans (Moina sp. and Diaphanosoma sp.) through dietary diversification strategies
Published 2025-01-01“…These findings indicate that elevating the initial stocking density of cladocerans and increasing the concentrations of Haematococcus sp. as feed up to an optimal level can effectively enhance the population growth of cladocerans. Both very low and excessively high initial stocking density, as well as suboptimal and excessively high concentrations of Haematococcus sp., negatively impact the growth of cladocerans. …”

Drivers of methane-cycling archaeal abundances, community structure, and catabolic pathways in continental margin sediments
Published 2025-02-01“…Notably, mcrA copy numbers of several major taxa increase by 2 to 4 orders of magnitude from the sulfatic zone into the SMTZ or methanic zone, providing evidence of net population growth in subsurface sediment. We propose that burial-related geochemical changes cause methane-cycling archaea in continental margin sediments to go through three successional stages (sulfatic, SMTZ, methanic). …”

Ecosystem services value for water provisioning in the Shule River Basin of northwestern China: Spatial and temporal evolution and drivers from 2000 to 2022
Published 2025-01-01“…The findings were as follows: (1) The value of ecosystem water-provisioning services (measured in monetary terms) in the Shule River Basin showed a fluctuating but increasing trend from 2000 to 2022. (2) The significant fluctuations in the monetary value of ecosystem services from 2000 to 2006 could be primarily attributed to factors such as low precipitation, high temperatures, population growth, and subsequent urban expansion. Conversely, a continuous upward trend in ecosystem service values (ESV) related to water provisioning, which was attributed to enhancements in land cover and increases in agriculture, forestry, grassland, and water bodies, coupled with increased precipitation, occurred from 2006 to 2022. (3) Different factors had different impacts on the ESV. …”
