What Is the Economic Benefit of a Citrus Health Management Area (CHMA)? A Case Study
Published 2016-04-01“…CHMAs help prevent insect vectors from moving between groves and reduce the likelihood that insects will develop pesticide resistance. This 3-page fact sheet analyzes the case-study data on yields of Valencia oranges from blocks located in two different categories of CHMAs to find the impact of citrus greening disease on citrus yields and provide evidence on the effectiveness of best class CHMAs as a way to deal with the disease. …”

Analysis of Distribution and Influencing Factors of Three-Nitrogen in Groundwater of the Liuxi River Basin
Published 2021-01-01“…Based on the monitoring data of 28 sampling points in the study area from 2012 to 2018,the distribution characteristics and influencing factors of groundwater three nitrogen in Liuxi River Basin were analyzed. The results showed that the mass concentrations of ammonia nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen and nitrite nitrogen in groundwater in the study area showed a downward trend with time, and the annual decreasing ranges were 0.220,0.120 and 0.001 mg/L,respectively;the mass concentrations of ammonia nitrogen and nitrate nitrogen in the middle reaches were 1.1 and 1.6 times higher than those in the lower reaches, respectively;the average mass concentrations of ammonia nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen and nitrite nitrogen in bedrock fissure water were 3.2,0.1 and 0.7 times of that in loose rock pore water, respectively;the correlation degree of ammonia nitrogen and pesticide and fertilizer application was greater, the correlation degree of nitrate nitrogen and nitrite nitrogen and waste water discharge was greater;and three-nitrogen was affected by rainfall to a certain extent, but the correlation was poor;ammonia nitrogen and nitrate nitrogen were closely related to the redox condition and runoff condition of groundwater.…”

Level of CYP4G19 Expression Is Associated with Pyrethroid Resistance in Blattella germanica
Published 2010-01-01“…German cockroaches have become a large problem in the Shenzhen area because of their pesticide resistance, especially to pyrethroid. A pyrethroid called “Jia Chong Qing” to prevent pests for a long time were found to be resistant to “Jia Chong Qing” with resistance index of 3.88 measured using RT-PCR and immunohistochemistry analysis showed that both CYP4G19 mRNA and CYP4G19 protein expression levels in the wild strain were substantially higher than that of a sensitive strain. dsRNA segments derived from the target gene CYP4G19 were prepared using in vitro transcription and were microinjected into abdomens of the wild strain. …”
