Influence of climate and external plaster on the humidity conditions of masonry walls by R. A. Gorshkov, S. V. Kornienko

    Published 2024-06-01
“…The mechanism of humidification of a homogeneous wall structure plastered on both sides due to the moisture transfer from the room to the environment through the wall thickness due to the difference in partial pressures of water vapour from inside and outside the room during the cold season is studied. The paper provides the graphs of the distribution of the actual and maximum partial pressures of water vapour over the thickness of the wall structure, depending on the type of plaster covering, for two calculated cases — for the conditions of the coldest month and the coldest five-day period in St. …”

A Two-Step Damage Diagnostic Approach Based on Static Strain Energy and Model-Updating via the Equilibrium Optimizer by Behrouz Safa, Asghar Rasouli, Yahya Nasira

    Published 2022-01-01
“…Among different methods suggested so far, model-updating holds the most appeal; however, its accuracy and efficiency are seriously challenged when the problem size grows as it fails to solve the problem with an increase in the number of variables. In this paper, a two-step approach is suggested that reduces the problem size in model updating-based damage detection methods by identifying potentially damaged elements using a static strain-based damage identification index over the first step. …”

Characteristics of Land Use Changes in Nansha District,Guangzhou Based on GF-1 Remote Sensing Images by CHEN Guangcheng, YU Huanghao, LI Binquan, CHEN Cheng, XU Dong, SUN Jinyan

    Published 2023-01-01
“…The type of land use can reflect regional economic, social, and ecological benefits. In order to gain a deeper understanding of the composition and changes of land use in Nansha District, this paper selected the GF-1 PMS data in 2016,2017,and 2022 for preprocessing and used support vector machine algorithm oriented to supervised classification for remote sensing image interpretation.According to the results of field investigation and correction, the overall accuracy of the corrected land-use products was above 90%,and the Kappa coefficient was above 0.85.The land use transfer matrix in Nansha District from 2017 to 2021 was constructed, and a comparative analysis was carried out in combination with the land use planning in 2025.In 2017,the main land use type in Nansha District was water area, accounting for 40%.By 2021,the impervious surface has increased by 10% (14.39 km2),mainly from the transfer of cultivated land (8.06 km2) and water area (7.48 km2).The water area has decreased by 3% (10.63 km2),of which the conversion to impervious surface accounts for 70% of the total reduction area;cultivated land, forests, and grasslands have a small reduction. The urbanization process of Huangge Town and Nansha Street is the fastest, and the impervious surface area has increased significantly. The cultivated land in Dongchong Town and Dagang Town has been reduced on a small scale.A large amount of water areas in Wanqingsha Town and Longxue Street have been invaded by impervious surfaces.Compared with the overall urban planning of Nansha District in 2025,except for Zhujiang Street and Wanqingsha Town, the construction of the underlying surface of other towns and streets in Nansha District is basically completed. At the same time, the proportion of water areas, forests, and grasslands in Nansha District that are encroached by impervious surfaces is relatively high.In order to avoid damage to the ecological environment,it is necessary to strike a balance between social and economic development and ecological environment protection.…”
