Research on new kind of parallel packet switch based on CICQ
Published 2010-01-01“…A distributed CICQ based DiffServ supporting parallel packet switch(CDPPS) was proposed.By using multiple low speed switches to construct parallel packet switch,CDPPS made it possible to construct DiffServ supporting scheduling scheme in high speed environment.Because CICQ could be used as central plane without any modification,CDPPS increased the efficiency of existing resources.As a result of using distributed scheduling algorithm,CDPPS eliminates the communication overhead,and reduces the hardware implementation complexity.Theoretic analysis and simulation results show that CDPPS can provide satisfying QoS for different traffic classes.…”

Location based routing addressing mechanism of integrated satellite and terrestrial network
Published 2020-08-01“…The ever-changing characteristics of the connection between the satellite network and the terrestrial network caused by the high-speed movement of the satellites have always been one of the most important problem that plagues the routing mechanism of the satellite network and integrated network.To address this problem,a location addressing based routing mechanism of integrated satellite and terrestrial network (LA-ISTN) was proposed.LA-ISTN exploited the user’s physical location in the user’s IP address to calculate the routing orientation.Based on the orientation,LA-ISTN could choose the best forward interface.Theoretical analysis and simulation experiments show that compared with snapshot protocol and OSPF routing protocol,LA-ISTN significantly reduces the route table storage overhead,with no routing updates cost caused by neighbor packet switching and communication.Inter-satellite route selection is not dependent on the prediction of link connection relations,with strong robustness,can always guarantee the network’s availability.…”

Published 2011-01-01“…Due to its outstanding extensibility performance,the LB-BvN switch had attracted much attention recently in the switching technology academia.However,the problem that it might disturb the sequences of packets made it not so applicable in practice.To overcome this,the principles for guaranteeing packets in order switching were first discussed.Then,based on these principles,it focused on research on the transmission characteristics in network traffic and came up with DFA and DFS algorithms.DFA assigned the switching paths to each flow based on their transport layer parameters to make sure that each packet in the flow were in order.DFS was more sophisticated than DFA in that it first divided flows into flowlets.In this way,the flowlets in the flows were in order.Both DFA and DFS could achieve in order packets switching with limited flow states maintained in the line-cards.Simulation results show that both DFA and DFS can achieve good performance.…”
