Simulation of Double Circular Arc Profile Spiral Bevel Gear Form Grinding Machining based on VERICUT
Published 2020-04-01“…The feasibility of machining double circular arc profile spiral bevel gear by numerical control forming grinding method is verified by VERICUT machining simulation.The tool path of the bevel gear and the tooth surface equation of the circular arc profile spiral bevel gear are studied,the axial cutting shape of the forming grinding wheel is obtained by the contact condition formula of the grinding surface and the tooth surface of the grinding wheel.Then,the selection criteria of the number of axes of the CNC forming gear grinding machine are proposed,and the models of the machine tool,forming grinding wheel and blank are established in VERICUT.Finally,the machining simulation of the double circular arc profile spiral bevel gear proves that the CNC forming grinding method can be used to process such gears,technical support for the application of CNC forming grinding on bevel gears.…”

Published 2015-01-01“…In order to simulate the actual cutting situation accurately in measuring stiffness of Numerical Control( NC)machine tool,a novel full loading method is presented.It is based on the changing of the cutting position as the cutting tool is subject to the action of full load of force and torque under machining process.According to distributing principle of cutting force,a full loading device has been developed through the coordinate transformation of force-bearing point and its direction.The ratio between several forces in various directions is verified by loading tests.Moreover,the device has been applied to stiffness distribution test of NC turning centers,and the displacement of every measured point is obtained when the cutting tool is at different positions.The text results provide referencing data for evaluating and improving construction of machine tool and find application in the prediction and modification of design scheme.…”

Study on the Influence Mechanism of Servo Gain Parameter on the Pitch Deviation Error of Tool Retracting Position
Published 2017-01-01“…The pitch deviation error of tool retracting position is a critical problem during the machining process of gears with numerical control(NC) shaping machine.After analyzing the influence factors of gear machining accuracy,generating motion out-of-sync is identified as the primary cause of the pitch deviation error in the case of well controlling of geometric accuracy,motion error and positioning precision.In order to reduce the influence of gear installation error and measurement error on gear pitch deviation measurement precision,an online gear precision detection device is designed.According to the influence law of servo gain parameter on the control shaft of servo motor,several orthogonal gear shaping tests are carried out by changing the servo gain parameter.The test results prove that the generating motion out-of-sync of tool retracting position is the primary cause of the pitch deviation error of tool retracting position.Simultaneously,the influence law of servo gain parameter on the pitch deviation error of tool retracting position is analyzed and the corresponding parameter adjustment strategies are proposed.The study provides a new approach to solve the pitch deviation error problem of tool retracting position with NC shaping machine.…”
