Improved SMC cardinality-balanced multi-Bernoulli forwardbackward smoothing track-before-detect algorithm by Jiazheng PEI, Yong HUANG, Yunlong DONG, Xiaolong CHEN

    Published 2019-08-01
“…For the tracking problem of multiple maneuvering targets in radar observation, the sequential Monte-Carlo cardinality-balanced multi-Bernoulli track-before-detect (SMC-CBMeMBer-TBD) algorithm is inaccurate in the estimation of the number of targets and the precision of state estimation. An improved algorithm based on SMC-CBMeMBer forward backward smoothing track-before-detect algorithm was proposed. In the algorithm, the multi target particle swarm optimization (MOPSO) was added between the process of prediction and update, and the fitness function was set up based on the observation value to make the particle set move to the position of the larger posterior probability density distribution, and solve the particle poverty in the heavy sampling process. In the update step, the algorithm was used. Then the smoothing recursive method was added, and the arithmetic operation time was prolonged, but the number and the state estimation precision were improved. The simulation results show that compared with the CBMeMBer-TBD method, the proposed algorithm improves the accuracy of the estimation of the number of maneuvering targets and the accuracy of the target state estimation.…”

Degrees of freedom of MIMO interference channel with distributed space-time interference alignment by Tengda YING, Wenjiang FENG, Weiheng JIANG, Guoling LIU, Chunan YAO, Taotao BAO

    Published 2018-01-01
“…In the context of K-user MIMO interference channel (IC),achievable degrees of freedom (DoF) were investigated with distributed space-time interference alignment (DSTIA).By precoding with distributed current and outdated channel state information at the transmitters (CSIT),new tradeoff regions between achievable DoF and CSI feedback delay/frequency were achieved for MISO system. The impact of the number of transmit antennas on achievable DoF in the MISO system was analyzed, revealing that DoF results approach to the outer bound as the number of transmit antennas increases.Further, the impact of the number of receive antennas on achievable DoF was characterized, deriving the range of CSI feedback delay that preserves achievable DoF in the MIMO system.Theoretical and numerical analyses show that, the proposed DSTIA scheme can achieve better sum-DoFs by eliminating inter-user interference perfectly, tighten the gap between achievable DoF and outer bound,as well as improve the achievable rate of the system.…”

Underdetermined DOA estimation of coherent signals based on denoising complex FastICA and sparse reconstruction by Jin HOU, Yunzhe LI, Tianyu LI

    Published 2021-11-01
“…To solve the problem that most of the existing direction of arrival(DOA) estimation methods for coherent signals could not be used in the case of under determination, where the number of incident signals exceeds the number of sensors, a DOA estimation method combining complex fast independent component analysis (FastICA) and sparse reconstruction algorithm was proposed. When the number of uniform circular array(UCA) sensors was M, the DOA of M(M-1) incident signals could be estimatedat most.To solve the problem of poor separation effect of complex FastICA in the case of low signal-to-noise ratio(SNR), two general denoising complex FastICA algorithm were proposed, which could be used in the case of circular signal and non-circular signal. The results of simulation and measured data show that the proposed algorithm can estimate both coherent and incoherent signals in underdetermined cases.Compared with several existing algorithm, the proposed DOA estimation algorithm has good performance.…”
