Cross-domain task offloading and computing resource allocation for edge computation in industrial Internet of things by Peng ZHOU, Jincheng XU, Bo YANG

    Published 2020-06-01
“…In the industrial Internet of things, limited by the computing capacity of field devices, the task offloading based on edge computing can effectively alleviate the computing burden of field devices and provide low-latency computing services. Moreover, because the load of edge servers are different in different areas of the network,it is necessary to reasonably arrange task offloading and allocate computing resources of edge servers, thereby reducing task completion delay and achieving load balance. Thus, the task offloading and resource allocation for edge computing in the industrial Internet of things was studied,a cross-domain offloading model for computing tasks in the industrial Internet of things was proposed, and a mixed integer nonlinear optimization problem that minimizes task completion time was formulated. The problem was decomposed it into two sub-problems of resource allocation and task offloading, based on the characteristics of the two sub-problems,the optimal solution of resource allocation and task offloading strategy were obtained through iterative and alternating solution. The experimental results show that compared with the non-cross-domain strategy, the load imbalance of the edge server and the task completion delay are reduced effectively by the proposed strategy.…”

Dynamic Contact Analysis of Torus-involute Gear by Fang Meijuan, Liu Lei

    Published 2015-01-01
“…Taking the torus-involute gear as study object, according to the theory of gear meshing and the gear hobbing process, the tooth surface equations of torus-involute gears with convex and concave teeth are derived by using the tooth surface equation of counterpart rack.According to the mathematical conditions of neither undercutting nor tooth pointing, based on MATLAB,the Graphical User Interface which contains geometric parameter designs of torus-involute gear is developed. In the light of the tooth surface equations of torus-involute gear, the three-dimensional coordinates of torus-involute gear are calculated which can be used to develop the3-D solid models. The Hypermesh is used to mesh the 3-D models of torus-involute gear.Based on the nonlinear contact algorithm, the finite element models of convex and concave torus-involute gears meshing are established which can be used to implement the dynamic contact analysis in ABAQUS.The results reveal that the width of torus-involute gears is limited by gear undercutting or tooth pointing and the maximum contact stress will be steady after hobbing for a while. The contact stress is small when just a pair of gear teeth are meshing, while the contact stress is large when two pairs of gear teeth are meshing.…”

Algorithm study of digital HPA predistortion using one novel memory type BP neural network by Chun-hui HUANG, Yong-jie WEN

    Published 2014-01-01
“…Based on the characteristic analysis of the high power amplifier (HPA) in wide-band CMMB repeater stations,a novel neural network was proposed which can respectively process the memory effect and the nonlinear of power amplifier. The novel model based on real-valued time-delay neural networks(RVTDNN) uses the Levenberg-Marquardt (LM) optimization to iteratively update the coefficients of the neural network.Due to the new parameters w0in the novel NN model, the modified formulas of LM algorithm were provided.Next,in order to eliminate the over-fitting of LM algorithm, the Bayesian regularization algorithm was applied to the predistortion system.Additionally, the predistorter of CMMB repeater stations based on the indirect learning method was constructed to simulate the nonlinearity and memory effect of HPA.Simulation results show that both the NN models can improve system performance and reduce ACEPR (adjacent channel error power ratio ) by about 30 dB.Moreover, with the mean square error less than 10−6,the coefficient of network for FIR-NLNNN is about half of that for RVTDNN.Similarly, the times of multiplication and addition in the iterative process of FIR-NLNNN are about 25% of that for RVTDNN.…”
