Chronic nitrogen legacy in the aquifers of China
Published 2025-01-01“…Abstract About half of the global drinking water comes from groundwater, yet groundwater quality is threatened by high nitrate concentrations globally. Our understanding of groundwater nitrate concentrations is often limited by inaccessibility of groundwater and scarcity of nitrate data in groundwater. …”

Analysis of Distribution and Influencing Factors of Three-Nitrogen in Groundwater of the Liuxi River Basin
Published 2021-01-01“…Based on the monitoring data of 28 sampling points in the study area from 2012 to 2018,the distribution characteristics and influencing factors of groundwater three nitrogen in Liuxi River Basin were analyzed. The results showed that the mass concentrations of ammonia nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen and nitrite nitrogen in groundwater in the study area showed a downward trend with time, and the annual decreasing ranges were 0.220,0.120 and 0.001 mg/L,respectively;the mass concentrations of ammonia nitrogen and nitrate nitrogen in the middle reaches were 1.1 and 1.6 times higher than those in the lower reaches, respectively;the average mass concentrations of ammonia nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen and nitrite nitrogen in bedrock fissure water were 3.2,0.1 and 0.7 times of that in loose rock pore water, respectively;the correlation degree of ammonia nitrogen and pesticide and fertilizer application was greater, the correlation degree of nitrate nitrogen and nitrite nitrogen and waste water discharge was greater;and three-nitrogen was affected by rainfall to a certain extent, but the correlation was poor;ammonia nitrogen and nitrate nitrogen were closely related to the redox condition and runoff condition of groundwater.…”

Ditch management using low-grade weirs: an opportunity for mitigating water quality and quantity impacts
Published 2025-01-01“…Analysis of covariance and linear regression of the treatment ditch against the control ditch were highly significant for nitrate-nitrogen concentration and load. The ditch with the low-grade weir was found to significantly decrease nitrate-nitrogen concentration and load. …”

Green Synthesis of Nanocomposite of Ag/Ag2O Using Coelomic Liquid: Optical Absorption Analysis
Published 2024-10-01“…In this research, silver and silver oxide (Ag/Ag2O) nanocomposites were synthesized using a green method at different concentrations of silver nitrate. In this method, coelomic yellow liquid extracted from earthworms was used as a silver nitrate reduction, which was the novelty of the present work. …”
