    De la « déportation-abandon » à la réintégration des « ex-koulaks » : les modulations de la répression à l’égard des paysans soviétiques (1930-1948) by Hélène Mondon

    Published 2012-07-01
“…In 1930 and 1931, more than one million eight hundred thousand peasants were sent into internal exile, becoming Stalin’s first « special settlers ».In 1930, the Soviet Northern territory was chosen to be the laboratory of this repressive and social experimentation on human beings that obliged thousands of peasant families to extract the natural resources of these frozen hinterlands. They had to remain durably in the so-called « special villages » built for their rehabilitation. This paper, based on archival materials combined with survivors’ stories, throws new light on the fate of peasant families in the North, their survival strategies when facing the most horrific first years of repression, as well as their strategies of adaptation and rehabilitation within society from the second half of the 1930s on. …”

Research on Deformation Characteristics of Geomembrane in Welding of Membrane Faced Rockfill Dam by WU Xiuyu, ZHANG Xianlei, WU Yunyun

    Published 2021-01-01
“…In order to solve the problem that the roughness and local folds of geomembrane in the meridional and zonal welds affect the welding quality, this paper carries out the experimental study on thermodynamic deformation-temperature rule of HDPE/PE/PVC geomembrane by thermal mechanical analyzer, and reveals the deformation characteristics of geomembrane in welding construction by combining the experimental study with theoretical analysis. The experimental results show that the main cause is the difference between the meridional/zonal deformation, and the essential reasons are the history of temperature stress and the orientation of molecular structure of geomembrane in the production process. After being fully fused and formed by natural cooling under unconstrained conditions, the sample is subjected to deformation-temperature test. The test results verify the rationality of the theoretical analysis.According to the results, this paper proposes to improve the production process by avoiding the orientation of molecular structure, reasonably controlling the cooling temperature rate gradient and appropriately increasing the lap width between the meridional and zonal welds to offset the different deformation caused by the remakable differenence of thermodynamic deformation characteristics.…”

Introduction of Reclaimed Water Utilization and Progress in Frontier Research in Japan by QI Xiaoyuan, HE Kai, YU Haixia, LIU Bingjun

    Published 2023-01-01
“…Due to population growth and global warming, the contradiction between the supply and demand of water resources is becoming more and more serious. In recent years, reclaimed water utilization has gained widespread attention globally as a way to alleviate water shortage.Compared with natural water resources, reclaimed water has the advantages of being large and stable in quantity, easy to use,and not being constrained by climatic conditions. If urban wastewater is properly treated and reused,it can alleviate the global water shortage to a large extent.Japan,as one of the early adopters of reclaimed water, has accumulated some experience in wastewater reuse. This paper summarized reclaimed water-related policies, treatment technologies, examples in Japan, and the international standard setting. It also outlined reclaimed water measures and the purpose and basic philosophy behind the related policies in Japan, especially the performance evaluation criteria of reclaimed water treatment technology,so as to provide some reference for the utilization and promotion of recycled water in China.…”
