Analysis of a Single Species Model with Dissymmetric Bidirectional Impulsive Diffusion and Dispersal Delay
Published 2014-01-01“…In most models of population dynamics, diffusion between two patches is assumed to be either continuous or discrete, but in the real natural ecosystem, impulsive diffusion provides a more suitable manner to model the actual dispersal (or migration) behavior for many ecological species. …”

Steganography based on parameters’ disturbance of spatial image transform
Published 2017-10-01“…In the research of state-of-the-art steganography algorithms, most of image sources were natural images in laboratory environment. However, with the rapid development of image process tools and applications, images after image processing were widely used in real world. How to use image process to improve steganography has not been systematically studied.Taking spatial image transform for consideration,a parameters’ disturbance model was presented, which could hide the noise taken by steganography in the pixel fluctuation due to the disturbance.Meanwhile,it would introduce cover source mismatch for a steganalyzer. The experimental results show that, compared with using traditional image database,it can significantly enhance the security of steganography algorithms and accommodative to the real world situation.…”

Florida Bromeliad Weevil (no official common name), Metamasius mosieri Barber (Insecta: Coleoptera: Curculionidae: Dryophthorinae)
Published 2003-10-01“… The Florida bromeliad weevil is an occasional and minor pest on ornamental bromeliads and occurs at very low population densities in its natural habitat. It should not be confused with the Mexican bromeliad weevil, Metamasius callizona, which is currently attacking five species of native bromeliads in 16 counties and will likely destroy populations of six additional species of already-threatened or endangered bromeliads if not brought under control. …”

Impervious Surface Thresholds and the Pace to Plant Technique for Planting Urban Red Maple Trees
Published 2017-12-01“…Many urban tree species have more insect and mite pests in urban landscapes than in surrounding natural areas. This is due in part to stress created by impervious surfaces, such as roads and sidewalks that can increase air temperature and reduce soil moisture. …”

The Origins of the Narrative Structures in the Chansons de Geste : Methodological Notes on Joël Grisward’s comparativism
Published 2014-01-01“…The present rethinking of the model by Grisward will use two conceptual and epistemological tools active in other fields: the first one is borrowed from the unpublished notes on Germanic legends drafted by Saussure; the second one is the concept of polythetic category formulated by Rodney Needham in an anthropological context, conception partly borrowed from similar reflections in the field of natural sciences.…”
