Double-component combined generalized weighted fractional Fourier transform based waveform design for massive MIMO
Published 2023-12-01“…In order to overcome the drawback of conventional diversity technologies that sacrificing valuable communication resources such as data rate or bandwidth in massive multiple input multiple output (MIMO) systems, a double-component combined generalized weighted fractional Fourier transform (DCGWFRFT) based waveform design method was proposed. The concept of computational diversity was introduced, and the diversity performance was improved via moderate computational resources without requiring channel state information at the transmitter. The principle of computational diversity of DCGWFRFT based waveform was firstly analyzed, and a DCGWFRFT based waveform design and transform process, which could be adopted combined with existing diversity methods, was then proposed according to the principle.Theoretical analysis proves that the proposed waveform design and transform process can perfectly recover the original transmitted signal in noise-free case, and the power of error of proposed waveform is distributed more evenly than that of untransformed waveform in noisy case.Simulation results show that the performance of DCGWFRFT based waveform has an advantage of at least 1.7 dB in bit signal-to-noise ratio compared with untransformed waveform when bit error rate is 10-3.…”

Hybrid precoding method for millimeter-wave massive MIMO systems based on IAFS algorithm
Published 2021-08-01“…The millimeter-wave massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems can overcome the adverse effects of the free-space signal path loss through the partial connection hybrid precoding method, which has the advantages of low hardware complexity and high energy efficiency. When the number of input data streams is equal to the number of radio frequency (RF) links, the hybrid precoding method based on partially connected structure and serial interference cancellation can be used. When the number of input data streams is not equal to the number of RF links, a hybrid precoding method based on improved artificial fish swarm (IAFS) algorithm was proposed. The core idea is that based on the spectral efficiency optimization criteria and the characteristics of partial connected structure, the spectral efficiency optimization problem of analog recoding matrix variables was transformed into the spectral efficiency optimization problem based on vector variables, and then the IAFS algorithm was used to solve the spectrum efficiency optimization problem. The simulation results show that the proposed method has good spectral efficiency and energy efficiency under the condition of low signal-to-noise ratio, and is expected to be applied in the real scene.…”

Improved transmit beamforming design based on ADMM for low probability of intercept of FDA-MIMO radar
Published 2022-04-01“…Considering the low probability of intercept problem that the signal-dependent interference and the target were located in the same angle, an improved transmit beamforming design based on the alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM) was proposed for multiple-input multiple-output with frequency diverse array radar. The transmit energy was minimized at the target under constraints of the energy at each transmitter and signal clutter-plus-noise ratio requirement.Subsequently, a cyclic algorithm was developed to tackle the non-convex design problem.Firstly, the optimal receive filter was obtained by generalized Rayleigh quotient. And then the transmit beamforming was optimized by employing auxiliary variables and ADMM to solve quadratic programming problem with fractional inequality constraint. Moreover, both the convergence and computational complexity of the proposed algorithm were discussed.Simulation results show that, compared with the semi-denite programming method, the proposed method not only attains the given antenna power, but also achieves the better mainlobe focusing performance at the target.Furthermore, the null levels at the clutter locations and the jamming directions obtained by the proposed method are -50 dB above.…”

Federated learning-based user access strategy and energy consumption optimization in cell-free massive MIMO network
Published 2023-10-01“…To solve the problem that how users choose access points in cell-free massive multiple-input multiple-output (CF-mMIMO) network, a prioritized access strategy for poorer users based on channel coefficient ranking was proposed.First, users were evaluated and ranked for their channel quality and stability after channel sensing, and suitable access points were selected in sequence according to the order of the channel state information.Second, considering issues such as users' energy consumption and data security, a federal learning framework was used to enhance user's data privacy and security.Meanwhile, an alternating optimization variables algorithm based on energy consumption optimization was proposed to optimize the multi-dimensional variables, for the purpose of minimizing the total energy consumption of the system.Simulation results show that compared with the traditional user-centric in massive MIMO, the proposed access strategy can improve the average uplink reachable rate of users by 20%, and the uplink rate of users with poor channels can be double improved; in terms of energy consumption optimization, the total energy consumption can be reduced by much more than 50% after optimization.…”

Effects and optimization of pilot sequence length on rate in multiuser massive MIMO FDD system
Published 2018-07-01“…The effect of pilot sequence length on the asymptotic performance of the ergodic rate was investigated for the multiuser massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) frequency division duplexing (FDD) downlink system.Firstly, the analytical expression of the ergodic rate was derived by using the principle of deterministic equivalence, based on which,it was discovered from the analytical results in two-fold that the normalized pilot sequence length (defined as the pilot sequence length divided by the number of BS antennas) tends to zero yet the rate was guaranteed to grow large without limit as long as the BS antenna number continues to increase, the rate saturates to a certain level if the BS antenna number becomes large with fixed pilot sequence length. Moreover, the pilot sequence length was optimized based on the sum-rate maximization within a finite channel coherence time, and a closed-form solution was deduced under a special correlated channel by means of Lambert W function.Simulation results validate the correctness of the theoretical analysis results and verify the effectiveness of the proposed closed-form solution of the optimal pilot sequence length.…”

Multipath inter-domain routing for named data networking
Published 2015-10-01“…To facilitate content retrieval among NDN domains,a multipath inter-domain routing for named data networking(MIRNDN)was proposed.Under MIRNDN,an AS(autonomous system)maintained merely the routing state of content reachable from its own network or from its customers’ networks and aggregated routing information to mitigate routing scalability issue; “valley free”routing policy was applied to guide Interest packets that solicit content unreachable from the AS’s own network nor from its customers’ networks to explore matching data packets via multiple paths, and NDN’s requests aggregation,in-network caching and adaptive forwarding optimized such exploration; the reachability information of content from multiple paths was collected to support Interest multipath forwarding. The properties of FIB size and the convergence time and communication cost of routing update under MIRNDN were analyzed in theory. The experimental results in the AS level topology of current Internet validates that MIRNDN mitigates the scalability issue of NDN inter-domain routing, has relative short convergence time and moderate communication cost for routing update, and effectively reduces unnecessary Interest forwarding.…”
