“…The communication mechanism of wireless sensor and actor network (WSAN) was studied.Firstly,a proactive location management mechanism based on the update messages sent by mobile actors to sensors and the actors’ scope limited by Voronoi diagram was proposed.Thus,sensors predicted the movement of actors using Kalman filtering of the previously received updates.Then,an optimal energy-aware forwarding rule based on geographical routing was presented for sensor-actor communication,and the delay of the data delivery process was controlled using the power control and the network congestion was dealed with by forcing multiple actors to share the traffic generated in the event area.Finally,based on the characteristics of multiple concurrent events,a model for actor-actor coordination was proposed to coordinate their movements in order to optimally accomplish the tasks.Performance simulation results show that the proposed cooperative communication mechanism for WSAN can effectively reduce end-to-end delays,energy consumption and percentage of packet drops.…”

“…Most existing time synchronization methods in wireless sensor networks depend on the existence of one or more fixed reference nodes and on the propagation of synchronization messages in the networks.Thus,they often suffer from the disadvantages of high energy consumption and large cumulative error due to multiple layers of communication.To address such issues,a new time synchronization method based on a mobile reference node and the optimal mobile path is proposed.Firstly,the cellular coverage technique is analyzed to identify the optimal synchronization points.Then,the optimal mobile path with minimal length is designed.Finally,an efficient single hop time synchronize mechanism based on multiple timestamps in the MAC layer is presented.Comparison with other methods shows that the proposed method can achieve both higher synchronization accuracy and lower energy consumption.…”

“…The directional antennas and beamforming techniques in millimeter wave (mmWave) bands are used to make concurrent transmission between multiple flows become possible.However,higher mutual interference may be caused by concurrent transmission.Therefore,when the time slots were limited and the number of data flows was large,how to schedule the concurrent flows efficiently was solved by proposed algorithm.The contention graph based spatial-time division multiple access (CB-STDMA) concurrent scheduling algorithm guaranteed the quality of service (QoS) of users,and aimed at maximizing the number of flows with their QoS requirements satisfied.It considered the interference between different flows,and a higher priority was given to the flow with fewer time slots requirement.Extensive simulations demonstrated that the proposed CB-STDMA algorithm increased the number of flows with their QoS requirements satisfied and the network throughput by 50% and 20% respectively compared with the existing algorithms.…”
