Identification of progressive pulmonary fibrosis: consensus findings from a modified Delphi study by Athol U. Wells, Simon L. F. Walsh, Ayodeji Adegunsoye, Vincent Cottin, Sonye K. Danoff, Anand Devaraj, Kevin R. Flaherty, Peter M. George, Kerri A. Johannson, Martin Kolb, Yasuhiro Kondoh, Andrew G. Nicholson, Sara Tomassetti, Elizabeth R. Volkmann, Kevin K. Brown

    Published 2024-12-01
“…Consensus was reached that progression on HRCT or a decline in FVC ≥ 10% from baseline is sufficient to determine progression, and that small declines in multiple endpoints indicates progression. Consensus was reached that a histological pattern of usual interstitial pneumonia (UIP) is a risk factor for progression of ILD, but that a biopsy to look for a UIP pattern should not be performed solely for prognostic reasons. …”

A systematic review and mapping exercise to assess the content validity of patient-reported outcome measures for adults having reconstructive surgery of the lower limb by Jennie Lister, Sophie James, Hemant K. Sharma, Catherine Hewitt, Helen Fulbright, Heather Leggett, Catriona McDaid

    Published 2024-12-01
“…Aims: Lower limb reconstruction (LLR) has a profound impact on patients, affecting multiple areas of their lives. Many patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) are employed to assess these impacts; however, there are concerns that they do not adequately capture all outcomes important to patients, and may lack content validity in this context. …”

Expression of Dual-Specificity Phosphatase 9 in Placenta and Its Relationship with Gestational Diabetes Mellitus by Qiang Wei, Xiaomin Pu, Li Zhang, Yi Xu, Meifan Duan, Yuemei Wang

    Published 2019-01-01
“…Placental DUSP9 mRNA levels in all 33 women correlated moderately with delivery gestational week (R=0.465, P=0.006), fasting plasma glucose (R=0.350, P=0.046), 1-hour postload plasma glucose (R=0.363, P = 0.038), and 2-hour postload plasma glucose (R=0.366, P=0.036), but not with maternal age, preconception body mass index, prenatal body mass index, or neonatal birth weight. Multiple linear regression analysis indicated that delivery gestational week was an influence factor of DUSP9 mRNA levels (β1=0.026, P<0.05). …”

Mineralogical and geochemical characteristics of the third member of Palaeogene Dongying formation in the Nanpu Sag, Bohai Bay Basin: implications for controlling on organic matter... by Shiyan Yin, Shiyan Yin, Aidong Yao, Jianzhong Cheng, Chuang Lei, Zhaosheng Wang, Zhenguo Zhang, Ying Zhang, Yu Wang, Xiaoying Han, Zhigang Ma

    Published 2025-01-01
“…Introduction and MethodsTo identify the unconventional shale oil exploration potential of the third member of the Palaeogene Dongying Formation (Ed3) in the Nanpu Sag, Bohai Bay Basin, variations in paleoclimate and paleoenvironment and their influence on organic matter accumulation were investigated through analyzing mineralogical and geochemical characteristics of forty-nine mudstone samples.ResultsResults show that the Ed3 mudstones exhibit strong heterogeneity with the organic carbon content ranging from 0.30% to 2.66%, petroleum potential yield ranging from 0.44 to 11.41 mg/g, and hydrogen index ranging from 57 to 466 mg/g TOC, which are dominated by mixed kerogen and low maturity to maturity. Multiple mineralogical and geochemical proxies suggest that the semi-humid to semi-arid paleoclimate during the Ed3 period governed the fluctuations of paleoenvironmental elements. …”
