Mechanisms linking river flow regime and riparian hardwood establishment
Published 2025-01-01“…Analysis of the model as applied to a low‐gradient reach of a large mountain river indicates that the soil characteristic determining moisture elevation (the “capillary fringe” height) is the most important process driving establishment rates; also important are the dates of seed deposition, inundation mortality, and the time needed for sprouted seeds to develop roots. …”

Study on the driving mechanism of spatio-temporal non-stationarity of vegetation dynamics in the Taihangshan-Yanshan Region
Published 2025-01-01“…In terms of space, vegetation coverage in Yanshan region is generally higher than that in Taihang Mountain with significant spatial heterogeneity.(2) Theil-Sen Median trend and Hurst index analysis shows that about 70% of regions have shown an increasing trend in kNDVI throughout the year and will continue to increase in the future. (3) The analysis results of Optimal Parameter Geodetector Detectors (OPGD) show that evapotranspiration (ET) is the dominant driving factor of kNDVI, and the interactive enhancement benefits with other factors is significant. …”

Influence of human settlements factors on the spatial distribution patterns of traditional villages in Liaoning province
Published 2024-12-01“…At the municipal scale, the distribution is relatively uneven and primarily located in the cities of Chaoyang, Jinzhou, Huludao, Panjin, Anshan, and Dalian. (3) The majority of traditional villages are distributed along the southwest–northeast axis of the standard deviation ellipse, which corresponds with the main mountain ranges of Liaoning. (4) The distribution density features a western continuous clustering, central and eastern scattered clustering, and edge clustering pattern. (5) The spatial distribution patterns of traditional villages in Liaoning are influenced by various human settlements factors, with spatial variation in the nature and intensity of the effects of these factors. (6) The natural factors of human settlements are the dominant factors in the spatial distribution patterns of traditional villages, while the humanistic factors of human settlements have a dual impact on these patterns. …”

Effect of Boundary Layer Evolution on Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) and Formaldehyde (HCHO) Concentrations at a High-altitude Observatory in Western India
Published 2020-11-01“…Using observations of the boundary layer height, back trajectories and the known photochemistry, we conclude that the observed diurnal variation in these two species is dominated by the mixing of emissions from the base of the mountain, resulting from the evolution of the boundary layer at the HACPL site.…”
