Strolling along gravitational vacua
Published 2020-01-01“…Abstract We consider General Relativity (GR) on a space-time whose spatial slices are compact manifolds M with non-empty boundary ∂M. We argue that this theory has a non-trivial space of ‘vacua’, consisting of spatial metrics obtained by an action on a reference flat metric by diffeomorpisms that are non-trivial at the boundary. …”

Application of cayley differential unitary space-time code in multiple-input multiple-output power line communication
Published 2019-08-01“…The application of Cayley differential unitary space-time code in MIMO power line communication system was studied. The linear space of complex skew-Hermitian matrices was mapped to isotropic unitary matrix constellations represented by highly non-linear Stiefel manifolds,by which signals were transmitted through a block fading multiple input multiple output power line channel with in a differential mode. Finally, based on the unconstrained solution of the Cauchy random by which data streams were represented, the approximate linear maximum likelihood estimation of the transmitted signal was induced.Simulation results show that although the performance of the proposed scheme is slightly lower than that of the system based on orthogonal differential space-time code in terms of bit error rate and diversity gain,it can ensure high-speed and reliable communication at higher signal-to-noise ratios, and is suitable for multi-input multi-output power line communication systems requiring high-speed data transmission.…”

Genus 2 Seiberg-Witten curves for rank 2 N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ =4 superYang-Mills theories
Published 2024-12-01“…Abstract We determine new genus 2 Seiberg-Witten curves for four dimensional rank 2 absolute N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ =4 superYang-Mills theories using the automorphism twist approach. The conformal manifolds of these curves agree with those predicted by S-duality orbits of global structures, and we use this to identify which of the two S-duality orbits of the so 5 ≃ sp 4 $$ \mathfrak{so}(5)\simeq \mathfrak{sp}(4) $$ superYang-Mills theory the genus-2 curve corresponds to. …”
