Relationship Between RNF213 p.R4810K and Echocardiographic Findings in Patients with Cerebrovascular Diseases: A Multicenter Prospective Cohort Study
Published 2025-02-01“…Additionally, the carriers showed increased odds of having right ventricular outflow tract acceleration time values ≥150 milliseconds (odds ratio, 2.22 [95% CI, 1.18–4.18]; P=0.014) in multivariable logistic regression analysis. Conclusions A longer right ventricular outflow tract acceleration time may reflect an increased pulmonary vascular bed induced by abnormal vascular collateral networks and dilation of capillary vessels in peripheral pulmonary arteries in the preclinical stage of RNF213‐related pulmonary hypertension. …”

Difference between estimated glomerular filtration rate based on cystatin C versus creatinine and cardiovascular–kidney–metabolic health
Published 2025-01-01“…However, the role of eGFRdiff in cardiovascular–kidney–metabolic (CKM) health and its impact on mortality in CKM syndrome patients has not yet been studied.MethodsThis study included 3,622 participants from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) conducted between 1999 and 2004. Weighted ordinal logistic regression was used to explore the link between eGFRdiff and CKM health, while weighted Cox regression was used to examine the relationship between eGFRdiff and mortality in CKM syndrome patients. …”

A cross-sectional study on the correlation between internal cerebral vein asymmetry and hemorrhagic transformation following endovascular thrombectomy
Published 2025-01-01“…The ICV asymmetry group exhibited a significantly higher risk of parenchymatous hematoma-type HT (33.8% vs. 15.5%, p = 0.019) and symptomatic intracerebral hemorrhage (sICH) (23.5% vs. 5.2%, p = 0.004). In multivariate logistic regression, ICV asymmetry (OR 3.809, 95% CI 1.582–9.171), baseline Alberta Stroke Program Early CT Score (OR 0.771, 95% CI 0.608–0.978), intravenous recombinant tissue plasminogen activator (OR 2.847, 95% CI 1.098–2.7.385), and poor collateral circulation (OR 3.998, 95% CI 1.572–10.169) were identified as independent risk factors of HT.ConclusionICV asymmetry, likely resulting from impaired autoregulation or tissue micro-perfusion hampering cerebral blood flow (CBF), is a novel radiological sign that independently predicts HT. …”
