The Protective Effect of Anthocyanins Extracted from Aronia Melanocarpa Berry in Renal Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury in Mice
Published 2021-01-01“…Pretreatment of two weeks resulted in different extent amelioration of renal dysfunction and tubular damage and suppression of proinflammatory cytokines, oxidative stress, lipid peroxidation, and apoptosis, thus suggesting that cyanidins are potentially effective in acute renal ischemia by the decrease of inflammation, oxidative stress, and lipid peroxidation, as well as apoptosis. …”

Assessing the neuroprotective potential of Eucalyptus globulus essential oil in a 6-hydroxydopamine rat model of Parkinson's disease
Published 2025-03-01“…We evaluated tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) and dopamine transporter (DAT) expression in the brain caudate-putamen unit; inflammatory cytokine (TNF-α, IL-6) expression in the hippocampus; liver, kidney, and gut histology; serum parameters; and hepatic lipid content. Results: Our findings indicate that EuEO is mainly composed of 1,8-cineole (81.8 %) and that, in the parkinsonian rats, it improved impairments in spatial memory, motor performance, and strength; increased TH and DAT protein content; decreased TNF-α expression; diminished liver lipid content and body weight gain without changes in the rats’ food/water consumption or their serum lipid levels; diminished transaminase and alkaline phosphatase activity, and the albumin/globulin ratio. …”

TAp63γ is the primary isoform of TP63 for tumor suppression but not development
Published 2025-02-01“…Moreover, mice deficient in p63γ are prone to chronic inflammation in multiple organs and liver steatosis potentially via altered lipid metabolism. Single-cell RNA-seq revealed that loss of p63γ increases the expression of SCD1, a rate-limiting enzyme for synthesis of monounsaturated fatty acids, leading to altered lipid homeostasis. …”
