Fractionated radiotherapy initiated at the early stage of bone metastasis is effective to prolong survival in mouse model by Yun Zhang, Zhunyi Gao, Ziwei Qi, Jiahe Xu, Jiao Xue, Lujie Xiong, Junhui Wang, Yuhui Huang, Songbing Qin

    Published 2025-12-01
“…In line with the known pro- and anti-metastatic effects of neutrophils and T cells in breast cancer, respectively, earlier fractioned RT consistently decreased the proportions of neutrophils while increased the proportions of T cells in both the bone and the lung tissues. Conclusion The data suggest that fractionated RT can inhibit the progression of early stage of bone metastasis and reduce secondary lung metastasis, leading to favorable outcomes. Therefore, these findings provide preclinical evidence to support the application of fractionated RT to treat patients with bone metastasis as earlier as possible.…”

Universal Synthesis of Core–Shell‐Structured Ordered Mesoporous Transition Metal Dichalcogenides/Metal Oxides Heterostructures with Active Edge Sites by Zhenliang Li, Yujian Rao, Zhehan Wang, Tuo Zhang, Guodong Wu, Litao Sun, Yuan Ren, Li Tao

    Published 2025-01-01
“…However, the lack of fully exposed active sites in bulk samples or stacked nanosheets leads to limited performances. In this work, a general method is developed to construct ordered mesoporous TMDs/metal oxides (OM‐TMDs/MOs) heterostructures, including WS2/WO3, WSe2/WO3, WTe2/WO3, MoS2/MoO3, and V3S4/V2O3, through one‐step thermal sulfurization (selenidation/tellurization) of self‐assembled amphiphilic block copolymer/polyoxometalates clusters nanocomposites with ordered mesostructures. …”

Relationship between glenohumeral horizontal abduction angle and scapular internal rotation angle at maximum shoulder external rotation during baseball pitching by Yuki Nomura, PhD, PT, Hajime Toda, PhD, PT, JSPO-AT, Masaki Katayose, PhD, PT, JSPO-AT, Shun Watanabe, MSc, Masahiro Yoshida, PhD, PT, JSPO-AT, Makoto Yoshida, PhD, PT, JSPO-AT, Keizo Yamamoto, PhD

    Published 2025-01-01
“…Background: Increased scapulothoracic (ST) internal rotation at maximum external rotation (MER) during baseball pitching can decrease glenohumeral (GH) horizontal adduction, leading to excessive GH horizontal abduction. However, few studies have examined this direct relationship, and none have investigated the ST internal rotation angle at stride foot contact (FC) and MER. …”
