Civil defendant representation in criminal proceedings
Published 2024-12-01“…At the same time, a number of legislative acts provide for the circumstances when civil liability is borne by another person, and this should be taken into account at the stage of assessment of a civil claim, and the study establishes that, as a general rule, the status of a civil defendant in criminal proceedings is acquired by an individual or legal entity which, by virtue of law, bears civil liability and which should be taken into account at the stage of assessment of a civil claim. …”

Quantifying soil surface erosion
Published 2024-12-01“…A conceptual framework is then required to correctly define soil’s erodibility, which is defined as an intrinsic property of the material through an empirical erosion law. In the most commonly accepted approach, this erodibility combines two distinct parameters: an erosion initiation threshold, generally chosen as a critical shear stress, and an erosion kinetic coefficient. …”

Experimental Study on Spontaneous Imbibition Characteristics of Fracturing Fluid at Cores from Different Layers in Fuling Shale Gas Reservoir
Published 2021-01-01“…Nevertheless, there have not been specific research findings on the imbibition law of Fuling shale gas reservoir in China. In this study, an imbibition experiment was carried out on the shale core of Jiaoshiba block of Fuling shale gas reservoir to learn spontaneous imbibition characteristic of Fuling shale gas reservoir. …”

A Review on Diffusion Bonding between Titanium Alloys and Stainless Steels
Published 2018-01-01“…Application of multi-interlayer well prevents the formation of intermetallic phases by forming solid solution at the interface, and parameters can be predicted by using a parabolic diffusion law. The selection of multi-interlayer was done based on two principles: no formation of brittle intermetallic phases and transitional physical properties between titanium alloy and stainless steel.…”

Lab Study on the Effect of Cation Exchange Capacity on Slurry Performance in Slurry Shields
Published 2018-01-01“…In order to study the effect of the cation exchange capacity on the performance of slurry properties, the rheological properties of the slurry are analyzed and evaluated by the power law model. Results indicate that the cation exchange capacity of the slurry decreases first and then increases with the increase of the ion stabilizer content. …”

Horizontal Detection Range Estimation of Deep-Sea Acoustic Shadow Area Based on Vertical Phased Emission Array
Published 2024-12-01“…The model of the phased emission sound field is derived, along with the theoretical estimation formula for the horizontal detection range, by combining the half-power beamwidth of the beam curve at the phased-emitter end with the ray propagation law of deep-sea acoustics. The corresponding relationships among each discrete phased angle, the horizontal distance, and the detection range of the focused beam boundary are detailed. …”

A Study on the Evolution of Emission Altitude with Frequency Among 104 Normal Pulsars
Published 2025-01-01“…We found that the evolution of emission altitudes with frequency for the majority of pulsars can be fitted using a power-law function with a normalization constant. In this work, it is found that the frequency evolution of pulsar emission altitude can be divided into three groups according to their different frequency dependencies of emission altitude (emission altitude decreases with frequency (Group A, <inline-formula><math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><semantics><mrow><mi>η</mi><mo>≤</mo><mo>−</mo><mn>0.1</mn></mrow></semantics></math></inline-formula>), keeps relatively constant with frequency (Group B, <inline-formula><math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><semantics><mrow><mo>−</mo><mn>0.1</mn><mo><</mo><mi>η</mi><mo>≤</mo><mn>0.1</mn></mrow></semantics></math></inline-formula>), and increases with frequency (Group C, <inline-formula><math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><semantics><mrow><mi>η</mi><mo>≥</mo><mn>0.1</mn></mrow></semantics></math></inline-formula>)), where <inline-formula><math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><semantics><mi>η</mi></semantics></math></inline-formula> is the emission altitude variation rate. …”

Experimental Study on Acoustic Emission and Resistivity Response of Sandstone under Constant Amplitude Cyclic Loading
Published 2021-01-01“…Acoustic emission (AE) parameters and resistivity are both sensitive to the damage process of the rock and can well describe the damage evolution law of the rock. Under the action of constant amplitude cyclic loading, different loading conditions, different state specimens, and so on, factors will make a big difference to the AE signal and resistivity, such as the difference in stress amplitude, loading rate, and saturation. …”
