Civil defendant representation in criminal proceedings by M. М. Kolomoitsev

    Published 2024-12-01
“…At the same time, a number of legislative acts provide for the circumstances when civil liability is borne by another person, and this should be taken into account at the stage of assessment of a civil claim, and the study establishes that, as a general rule, the status of a civil defendant in criminal proceedings is acquired by an individual or legal entity which, by virtue of law, bears civil liability and which should be taken into account at the stage of assessment of a civil claim. …”

Quantifying soil surface erosion by Philippe, Pierre, Benahmed, Nadia

    Published 2024-12-01
“…A conceptual framework is then required to correctly define soil’s erodibility, which is defined as an intrinsic property of the material through an empirical erosion law. In the most commonly accepted approach, this erodibility combines two distinct parameters: an erosion initiation threshold, generally chosen as a critical shear stress, and an erosion kinetic coefficient. …”

A Review on Diffusion Bonding between Titanium Alloys and Stainless Steels by De-feng Mo, Ting-feng Song, Yong-jian Fang, Xiao-song Jiang, Charles Q. Luo, Machael D. Simpson, Zhi-ping Luo

    Published 2018-01-01
“…Application of multi-interlayer well prevents the formation of intermetallic phases by forming solid solution at the interface, and parameters can be predicted by using a parabolic diffusion law. The selection of multi-interlayer was done based on two principles: no formation of brittle intermetallic phases and transitional physical properties between titanium alloy and stainless steel.…”

A Study on the Evolution of Emission Altitude with Frequency Among 104 Normal Pulsars by Chaoxin Luo, Xin Xu, Changrong Du, Qijun Zhi

    Published 2025-01-01
“…We found that the evolution of emission altitudes with frequency for the majority of pulsars can be fitted using a power-law function with a normalization constant. In this work, it is found that the frequency evolution of pulsar emission altitude can be divided into three groups according to their different frequency dependencies of emission altitude (emission altitude decreases with frequency (Group A, <inline-formula><math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><semantics><mrow><mi>η</mi><mo>≤</mo><mo>−</mo><mn>0.1</mn></mrow></semantics></math></inline-formula>), keeps relatively constant with frequency (Group B, <inline-formula><math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><semantics><mrow><mo>−</mo><mn>0.1</mn><mo><</mo><mi>η</mi><mo>≤</mo><mn>0.1</mn></mrow></semantics></math></inline-formula>), and increases with frequency (Group C, <inline-formula><math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><semantics><mrow><mi>η</mi><mo>≥</mo><mn>0.1</mn></mrow></semantics></math></inline-formula>)), where <inline-formula><math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><semantics><mi>η</mi></semantics></math></inline-formula> is the emission altitude variation rate. …”
