Distributed data trading algorithm based on multi-objective utility optimization by Xiaohong HUANG, Yong ZHANG, Desheng SHAN, Yekui QIAN, Lu HAN, Dandan LI, Qun CONG

    Published 2021-02-01
“…The traditional centralized data trading models are not well applicable to the current intelligent era where everything is interconnected and real-time data is generated, and in order to maximize the use of collected data, it is essential to design an effective data trading framework. Therefore, a distributed data trading framework based on consortium blockchain was proposed, which realized P2P data trading without relying on a third party.Aiming at the problem that existing data trading models only consider the factors of the data itself and ignore the factors related to user tasks, a bi-level multi-objective optimization model was constructed based on multi-dimensional factors, such as data quality, data attributes, attribute relevance and consumer competition, to optimize the utilities of data provider (DP) and data consumer (DC).To solve the above model, an improved multi-objective genetic algorithm-collaborative NSGAII was proposed, calculated by the cooperation of DP, DC and data aggregator (AG).The simulation results show that the collaborative NSGAII achieves better performance in terms of the utilities of DP and DC, thus realizing more effective data trading.…”

Survey on vertical handoff in heterogeneous wireless networks by Yu-wei WANG, Min LIU, Bing-yi FANG

    Published 2015-11-01
“…Vertical handoff between different access technologies is the basic requirement for convergence of different access technologies. It is also the key technology to implement interconnection of heterogeneous networks and support seamless integration of different access networks. As a result, providing efficient solutions for vertical handoff has received tremendous attention from the academia and industry all over the world. With the trend of diversity of access technologies, unification of networks and synthesis of applications, cellular mobile communication, broadband wireless access and fixed access will be connected to a unified IP-based core network. The integration of existing and emerging heterogeneous wireless networks requires the design of intelligent vertical handoff techniques to enable mobile users to switch network access points and experience uninterrupted service continuity.During the vertical handoff procedure, handoff decision is a crucial issue for an efficient mobility. The definition and key concept of vertical handoff are given and its categories are introduced.Subsequently, the authors classify the vertical handoff decision algorithms into three main categories and overview their basic principles.Especially, the features of these three categories of algorithms are analyzed and compared. Finally, future works about vertical handoff are outlined.…”

Railway safety monitoring algorithm based on distributed optical fiber vibration sensor by Fuyang CHEN, Bin JIANG, Yu SHA

    Published 2020-09-01
“…Aiming at the monitoring problem of the human climbing behaviour existing along the railway,a railway safety detection algorithm based on distributed optical fiber vibration sensors was proposed by combining the distributed optical fiber sensing technology and signal analysis technology. The surrounding vibration was sensed and transmitted through the optical cables laid along the fence network of the railway, and then the Internet of things (IoT) connection between the railway and monitoring algorithm was built to realize the intelligent monitoring of the climbing behavior. In view of the complicated surrounding environment of the railway and more interference, the Hamming window and wavelet threshold denoising method were used to filter the signal of each frame to improve the signal-to-noise ratio of the vibration signal. In the selection of features, the power spectrum and short-time over-level rate of the signal were extracted from the time domain and frequency domain respectively as a joint feature to determine whether there was climbing or creeping behavior.Since that the climbing behavior was spatially continuous, the minimum alarm range was set to filter out alarms with a too small range, which improved the accuracy of the monitoring system.…”

RIS-assisted terahertz frequency band vehicle network capacity optimization by Fatang CHEN, Xiaoling LIU, Dan WANG, Ruofan ZHANG

    Published 2023-10-01
“…In order to alleviate the spectrum scarcity and capacity limitation of the current wireless system, the terahertz frequency band was introduced and the reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) was used for auxiliary communication to construct a downlink vehicle network.Considering the constraints of limited total system power, QoS constraints of cellular mobile users, and randomness constraints of vehicle and user locations, a hybrid optimization model was established for optimal power allocation and optimal deployment of RIS with the aim of maximizing the total rate of vehicle users.Based on the balance method, linear transformation method, and element elimination method, the original NP-hard problem was transformed into a convex optimization problem with complex correlation constraints and multivariate coupling. The inner layer iteration was based on the Lagrange multiplier method to solve the optimal power allocation, and the outer layer iteratively solved the optimal deployment of RIS based on a improved genetic algorithm. The simulation results show that rationally deploying the number and distribution density of RIS nodes based on optimal power allocation can save costs while achieving a higher target total capacity.…”
