Hydro-wind-solar Complementary Operation Rules Considering System Reliability and Extreme Failure by JING Han, CHEN Xiang, MENG Hongwen, LIU Benxi

    Published 2023-01-01
“…The uncertainty of renewable energy output and the vulnerability under extreme weather conditions have become more and more prominent in the safety of power grid operation. The study proposes a long-term complementary operation rule generation method for hydro-wind-solar power that considers both the guaranteed rate of power generation and the extreme failure.Considering the joint output guarantee rate and the extreme failure of the hydro-wind-solar system, the method takes the maximum power generation as the goal.It uses the mixed-integer nonlinear program to carry out long-term sequence simulation joint operation of hydropower, wind power, and solar power. On this basis, the grey relation analysis is applied to screen the input factors. With the output of each hydropower station as that of the network, the BP neural network is adopted to generate the hydro-wind-solar complementary operation rules. Finally, the validity of the proposed model is verified through case analysis. The superiority of the proposed model is further demonstrated through the simulation analysis of scenarios related to different wind and solar installed capacities and extreme failure.…”

Multi-access edge computing offloading in maritime monitoring sensor networks by Xin SU, Ziyi WANG, Yupeng WANG, Siyuan ZHOU

    Published 2021-03-01
“…Multi-access edge computing can effectively guarantee the low-latency, high-reliability data transmission of ocean monitoring sensor networks and various related maritime applications. In the offshore scenario, two offloading models of multi-user single-hop unicast and multi-user multi-hop unicast were established in combination with the distribution of edge computing resources. The mixed integer nonlinear programming was used to separate optimization targets and effectively allocate transmission power. The unloading decisions were made by improving the traditional artificial fish swarms algorithm. The results show that the proposed optimization algorithm can reduce the network delay by nearly 19% compared with the traditional scheme. In the far-sea scenario, a multi-user single-hop unicast offloading model was established, and a reasonable channel allocation algorithm was proposed based on the network connection probability. The results show that when the network connection time is sufficient, the number of allowable sub-channels can be increased to reduce the network delay. When the network connection time is limited, the number of unloaded marine user equipment can be controlled to ensure the network transmission delay.…”

Joint optimization strategy of service cache and resource allocation in mobile edge network by Long LONG, Zichen LIU, Zaiwang LU, Yucheng ZHANG, Lei LI

    Published 2023-01-01
“…Aiming at the problem that computing and storage resources of edge node in a mobile edge computing (MEC) system were limited, and excessive task offloading would cause the mismatch between the computing capacity and the load capacity of the edge server, resulting in the increase of task processing delay, the joint optimization of task offloading and storage resources under the three-layer network architecture composed of multi-user, edge server and cloud server was studied to reduce the overall system delay. For the problem was a mixed integer nonlinear problem, a joint optimization strategy of service caching and resource allocation was proposed.First, the continuous and discrete variables of the original problem were decoupled into two sub-problems, namely, the service cache decision problem and the joint optimization problem of computing resources and communication resources. Then, the linear reconstruction, relaxation method and convex optimization method were used to alternately optimize the two sub-problems to obtain the near-optimal solution.Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed strategy can obtain a near-optimal performance with low complexity, and can reduce up to 10% of the task duration compared with other strategies.…”

Spectrum allocation algorithm based on multi-agent reinforcement learning in smart grid by Feng YAN, Xiaowei LIN, Zhenghao LI, Xia XU, Weiwei XIA, Lianfeng SHEN

    Published 2023-09-01
“…In view of the fact that 5G networks are used to meet the service requirements of various power terminals in smart grid, a spectrum allocation algorithm based on multi-agent reinforcement learning was proposed.Firstly, for the integrated access backhaul system deployed in smart grid, considering the different communication requirements of services in lightweight and non-lightweight terminal, the spectrum allocation problem was formulated as a non-convex mixed-integer programming aiming to maximize the overall energy efficiency.Secondly, the above problem was modeled as a partially observable Markov decision process and transformed into a fully cooperative multi-agent problem, then a spectrum allocation algorithm was proposed which was based on multi-agent proximal policy optimization under the framework of centralized training and distributed execution. Finally, the performance of the proposed algorithm was verified by simulation. The results show that the proposed algorithm has a faster convergence speed and can increase the overall transmission rate by 25.2% through effectively reducing intra-layer and inter-layer interference and balancing the access and backhaul link rates.…”
