Information limits and Thouless-Anderson-Palmer equations for spiked matrix models with structured noise by Jean Barbier, Francesco Camilli, Yizhou Xu, Marco Mondelli

    Published 2025-01-01
“…We consider a prototypical problem of Bayesian inference for a structured spiked model: a low-rank signal is corrupted by additive noise. While both information-theoretic and algorithmic limits are well understood when the noise is a Gaussian Wigner matrix, the more realistic case of structured noise still remains challenging. …”

Defense decision-making method based on incomplete information stochastic game and Q-learning by Hongqi ZHANG, Junnan YANG, Chuanfu ZHANG

    Published 2018-08-01
“…Most of the existing stochastic games are based on the assumption of complete information, which are not consistent with the fact of network attack and defense.Aiming at this problem, the uncertainty of the attacker’s revenue was transformed to the uncertainty of the attacker type, and then a stochastic game model with incomplete information was constructed. The probability of network state transition is difficult to determine, which makes it impossible to determine the parameter needed to solve the equilibrium.Aiming at this problem, the Q-learning was introduced into stochastic game, which allowed defender to get the relevant parameter by learning in network attack and defense and to solve Bayesian Nash equilibrium.Based on the above,a defense decision algorithm that could learn online was designed. The simulation experiment proves the effectiveness of the proposed method.…”

Preprocessing optimization algorithm based on partial channel information feedback in wideband OFDM systems by WANG Xia1, ZHANG Guo-mei1, XUE Tao2

    Published 2011-01-01
“…To mitigate inter-block interference(IBI) and inter-carrier interference(ICI) in an orthogonal frequency divi-sion multiplexing(OFDM) system,pre-processing approaches at transmitters based on full channel state information(CSI) had been proposed, the performance improved and receiver simplied. However, feeding full CSI back would oc-cupy scarce bandwidth and was impractical sometimes for the systems with high real-time demand. To deal with this problem,a preprocessing optimization based on partial CSI feedback was investigated and three selected preprocessing approaches of optimization matrix were developed and tested.Computer simulation results showed that the proposed op-timization algorithm can effectively cancel IBI and ICI and significantly improve the performance in wideband OFDM systems.Compared with the pre-processing approaches at transmitters based on full CSI,under the condition of meeting the demand for quality of services(QoS),the proposed scheme has high spectral efficiency and low feedback and com-putation complexity.…”
