Molecular switch of the dendrite-to-spine transport of TDP-43/FMRP-bound neuronal mRNAs and its impairment in ASD
Published 2025-01-01“…., immunoprecipitation (IP), RNA-IP, Immunofluorescence (IF)/fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), live cell imaging, live cell tracking of RNA using beacon, and mouse model study are used to elucidate a novel mechanism regulating dendritic spine transport of mRNAs in mammalian neurons. Results We demonstrate here that brief mGluR1 activation-mediated dephosphorylation of pFMRP (S499) results in the dissociation of FMRP from TDP-43 and handover of TDP-43/Rac1 mRNA complex from the dendritic transport track on microtubules to myosin V track on the spine actin filaments. …”

Cardiovascular Reactivity to Mental Stress and Adverse Cardiovascular Outcomes in Patients With Coronary Artery Disease
Published 2025-02-01“…Background Acute psychological stress may induce physiological changes predisposing individuals to adverse health outcomes through hemodynamic and vascular effects. We studied the association between the aggregated stress‐induced changes in hemodynamic and vascular function tests with adverse cardiovascular outcomes in patients with coronary artery disease, after adjusting for sociodemographic and clinical factors. …”

INBRX-120, a CD8α-targeted detuned IL-2 that selectively expands and activates tumoricidal effector cells for safe and durable in vivo responses
Published 2023-01-01“…Recent engineering efforts, including non-α IL-2 variants, have lowered the toxicity profile, but have yet to induce meaningful antitumor activity in a wider patient population. Methods We engineered INBRX-120, a CD8α-targeted Cisleukin™ molecule consisting of an affinity tuned IL-2 (IL2-x) connected to two high affinity CD8α-specific single domain antibodies via an effector-silenced Fc domain. …”

Dietary quality and adherence to dietary recommendations in Chinese patients with chronic kidney disease
Published 2025-02-01“…ObjectivesThere is a lack of data regarding the quality of the diet and the adherence to dietary guidelines of patients with non-dialysis-dependent CKD (NDD-CKD) in China.Design and methodsSingle-center cross-sectional study of 261 patients with CKD stages 3–5, who responded to 3-day dietary records and undertook 24-h urine samples along with clinical, laboratory, and anthropometric assessments. We compared their food intake with Chinese recommendations for CKD patients, assessed dietary quality through the Chinese Healthy Eating Index (CHEI), and calculated the contribution to energy intake by processed foods according to the NOVA classification.ResultsAverage energy intake was 30 ± 9 Kcal/kg/d, and 65% consumed less energy than recommended. …”
