Cross-Brand Machine Learning of Coffee’s Temporal Liking from Temporal Dominance of Sensations Curves
Published 2025-01-01“…While previous studies developed reservoir models for specific food brands, achieving cross-brand prediction—predicting the temporal liking of one brand using a model trained on other brands—is a critical step toward replacing human assessors. We applied this approach to coffee products, predicting temporal liking for a given brand from its TDS data using a model trained on three other brands. …”

A Flexible Exoskeleton Robot for Assisting Both Hip Joint Extension and Flexion
Published 2021-02-01“…Compared with the rigid exoskeletons, which added extra inertial to low limb and restricted wearer movement, but the flexible wearable lower extremity exoskeleton minimizes the impact of these factors on the human body locomotion. An exoskeleton that provides assistive force for both hip joint extension and flexion is designed through the variation in hip joint dynamics during strides. …”

ClpB chaperone as a promising target for antimicrobial therapy: A narrative review
Published 2025-01-01“…Infections caused by ESKAPE pathogens are particularly challenging due to their resistance to broad-spectrum antibiotics and biofilm formation, posing a significant global health threat as they are often multidrug-resistant, extensively drug-resistant, and pan-drug-resistant. Given its absence in human cells and its essential role in bacterial survival under stress, ClpB is a promising target for antimicrobial therapy. …”

Analysis of Air Quality during the COVID-19 Pandemic Lockdown in Naples (Italy)
Published 2020-10-01“…The comparison of the levels of various gaseous pollutants (C6H6, CO, NO2 and SO2) and particulate matter (PM10, PM2.5, PM1) at ground level as well as of atmospheric aerosol properties registered by remote sensing techniques during the lockdown period with the values observed in the earlier months and during the same period of the previous year is used to gain interesting information on the environmental impact of the human activities. Our findings show a rather significant reduction of the pollution due to NO2 (49–62%) in urban as well as in green suburban area, while CO and SO2 showed a more important reduction in urban or industrial districts of the city (50–58% and 70%, respectively). …”
