Estimation de la densité par comptage des nids des Bonobos (Pan paniscus) dans la région de Bolobo des localités de Nkala et Embirima, République Démocratique du Congo : résultats...
Published 2014-03-01“…We determined the densities of the populations of bonobos in the mosaics of forests intersected with savannas in this area. The densities estimated during September 2008, have been relatively low 0.04 to 0.21 bonobos/km2, by the method of nests counting, along the transects lines, respectively for the secondary forest of Nkala-MMT (Mbou-Mon-Tour) and the primary forest of Embirima. …”

Analysis of Financing Efficiency of Chinese Agricultural Listed Companies Based on Machine Learning
Published 2019-01-01“…The influencing factors of financing efficiency are analyzed using the Tobit regression model and the random forest regression model. And we find the following: (1) The random forest regression model significantly outperformed the Tobit regression model, with determination coefficients (R2) greater than 0.9 in full sample sets. (2) Total liability, financial expenses, return on total assets, and inventory turnover rate are important factors affecting financing efficiency of agricultural listed companies. (3) Return on total assets and inventory turnover rate promote the financing efficiency, while total liability and financial expenses reduce financing efficiency. …”

Strong wind is one of the important factors that trigger landslides
Published 2025-01-01“…Abstract Landslides, causing significant loss of life and property, are traditionally attributed to heavy rainfall and geological or topographical factors, often overlooking strong winds. In landslide-prone forest regions, typhoon-induced strong winds can uproot trees and destabilize their root systems, potentially triggering shallow landslides. …”

Analysis of Land Use/Land Cover Changes Using Remote Sensing Data and GIS at an Urban Area, Tirupati, India
Published 2013-01-01“…The comparison of LU/LC in 1976 and 2003 derived from toposheet and satellite imagery interpretation indicates that there is a significant increase in built-up area, open forest, plantation, and other lands. It is also noted that substantial amount of agriculture land, water spread area, and dense forest area vanished during the period of study which may be due to rapid urbanization of the study area. …”
