Syntactic Comprehension in Patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis
Published 2014-01-01“…However, it is not known if syntactic comprehension disorder is related to executive and visuospatial dysfunction. In this study, we evaluated syntactic comprehension using the Syntax Test for Aphasia (STA) auditory comprehension task, frontal executive function using the Frontal Assessment Battery (FAB), visuospatial function using Raven’s Coloured Progressive Matrices (RCPM), and dementia using the Hasegawa Dementia Scale-Revised (HDS-R) in 25 patients with ALS. …”

Enhancing computational accuracy with parallel parameter optimization in variational quantum eigensolver
Published 2025-01-01“…Therefore, implementing multiple-parameterized quantum circuits in NISQ devices can suppress the increase in the number of executions. In this study, we propose a parallel-VQE, which leverages the parallel execution of parameterized quantum circuits to perform parallel parameter optimization in VQE, achieving convergence to solutions closer to the ground state. …”

Effective fault localization technique using parameter-value replacement
Published 2015-04-01“…Statistic-based fault localization and slice-based fault localization cannot locate the omission faults effectively.A method-level fault localization approach based on parameter-value replacement was proposed. Those methods appearing in failed executions were treated as the fault methods candidate set (FMCS).For each element contained in FMCS,its impact to the execution result was measured and then the FMCS elements based on the impact were classified. For each method with high impact, its interesting parameter value mapping pair (IPVMP) was searched by using parameter-value replacement.According to the impact and IPVMP,a method list of FMCS elements was finally provided to debuggers.Empirical results show that the proposed approach performs better than other fault localization approaches.…”
