Correlation Analysis Approach About Numerous Security Information and Event in Telecommunication Network by Ning Fan, Guoshui Shi, Jun Shen, Huamin Jin

    Published 2013-10-01
“…Correlation analysis engine which correlate isolated security event as a chain to find out the real threat from a large number of false alarms or low level ones,is a key module of security operations centre(SOC).The traditional correlation analysis mechanism is divided into two types:state machine and inference-engine.For poor precision and low efficiency, they don't adapt telecom network application.A new correlation analysis mechanism based on consecutive state by inference-engine was presented, which executed efficiently and accurately,to solve the problems of correlation analysis engine applied in telecom network.…”

DroidBet:event-driven automatic detection of network behaviors for Android applications by Song-jie WEI, Gao-xiang WU, Na LUO, Zhao-wei SHI, Zi-yang ZHOU

    Published 2017-05-01
“…The most Android applications connect to Internet to communicate with the outside world.Applications’ network-related activities were reflected and described with network traffic.By analyzing and modeling network traffic of Android applications, network behaviors of Android applications could be subsequently characterized. Therefore,DroidBet:an event-driven network behavior automatic detection system was presented,to test and evaluate Android applications automatically.Firstly,a scenario simulation event library was built to simulate the events that applications may be executed in the process,so as to trigger the network behavior of the application as much as possible. Then, the test sequence based on the state transition analysis method was automatically generated, and the network behavior was dynamically collected during the application testing process. Finally, the machine learning method was used to learn and train the collected network behavior, and the network behavior model based on BP neural network was generated to detect the behavior of the unknown Android application. The experimental results show that DroidBet can effectively trigger and extract the network behavior of the application, which has the advantages of high accuracy and low resource cost.…”

Reverberation Evidence for Stream Collision and Delayed Disk Formation in Tidal Disruption Events by Hengxiao Guo, Jingbo Sun, Shuangliang Li, Yan-Fei Jiang, Tinggui Wang, Defu Bu, Ning Jiang, Yanan Wang, Yuhan Yao, Rongfeng Shen, Minfeng Gu, Mouyuan Sun

    Published 2025-01-01
“…When a star passes through the tidal disruption radius of a massive black hole (BH), it can be torn apart by the tidal force of the BH, known as the tidal disruption event (TDE). Since the observed UV/optical luminosity significantly exceeds the predictions of the compact disk model in classical TDE theory, two competing models, stream collision and envelope reprocessing, have been proposed to address this discrepancy. …”

Dynamical Behavior of a Rumor Transmission Model with Psychological Effect in Emergency Event by Liang'an Huo, Tingting Lin, Peiqing Huang

    Published 2013-01-01
“…A rumor transmission model with nonmonotonic incidence rate was proposed, which provides excellent explanations of the “psychological” effect with rumor spreading in emergency event. By carrying out a global analysis of the model and studying the stability of the rumor-free equilibrium and the rumor-endemic equilibrium, we showed that either the number of infective individuals tends to zero as time evolves or the rumor persists. …”

Conductance Model for Extreme Events: Impact of Auroral Conductance on Space Weather Forecasts by Agnit Mukhopadhyay, Daniel T. Welling, Michael W. Liemohn, Aaron J. Ridley, Shibaji Chakraborty, Brian J. Anderson

    Published 2020-11-01
“…This impreciseness in estimating the auroral conductance impedes both our understanding and predictive capabilities of the magnetosphere‐ionosphere system during extreme space weather events. In this article, we address this concern, with the development of an advanced Conductance Model for Extreme Events (CMEE) that estimates the auroral conductance from field‐aligned current values. …”
