Antecedents and consequences of professional competence of school administrators with emphasis on environmental sustainability and sustainable development
Published 2024-09-01“…Extended abstract Introduction Performance sustainability is a relatively new concept defined as a process that focuses on all five dimensions of sustainability performance (economic, governance, social, ethical, and environmental) (Atstsaury et al, 2024). Serious action has not been taken to address environmental pollution, especially in the field of human resource development and professional development (Hustler & McIntyre, 2024). …”

United by Sports? Key Factors affecting Sports Participation in a Sports-based Initiative to Promote Social Integration in Segregated Communities
Published 2025-01-01“…Regular participation is essential for achieving these goals, making it crucial to understand why individuals participate or not in such initiatives and develop social capital (Flensner et al., 2021). While previous research investigated structural and sociocultural engagement boundaries, few studies examine specific program factors that influence participants' willingness to engage, particularly from their own perspectives. …”

Assessing water and energy fluxes in a regional hydrosystem: case study of the Seine basin
Published 2022-12-01“…In this paper, one of the first attempts to jointly model water and energy fluxes with a special focus on both surface and groundwater at the regional scale is proposed on the Seine hydrosystem (78,650 km$^{2}$), which overlays one of the main multi-aquifer systems of Europe. This study couples the SVAT model ORCHIDEE and the process-based hydrological–hydrogeological model CaWaQS, which describes water fluxes, via a one-way coupling approach from ORCHIDEE toward CaWaQS based on the blueprint published by [de Marsily et al., 1978]. An original transport library based on the resolution of the diffusion/advection transport equation was developed in order to simulate heat transfer in both 1D-river networks and pseudo-3D aquifer systems. …”

Dust Scattering Albedo at Millimeter Wavelengths in the TW Hya Disk
Published 2025-01-01“…The albedo at these wavelengths is high, ~0.5–0.8, and broadly consistent with the L. Ricci et al., DIANA, and DSHARP dust models. Even without assuming dust composition, we estimate the maximum grain size to be ~340 μ m, the power-law index of the grain size distribution to be >−4.1, and the porosity to be <0.96. …”

Realising health justice in Palestine: beyond humanitarian voices
Published 2025-02-01“…In this paper we offer a three-part critique of a May 2024 commentary by Karl Blanchet and colleagues, ‘Rebuilding the health sector in Gaza: Alternative humanitarian voices’ (Blanchet et al. in Confl Heal 18:42, 2024). We argue that in relation to the post-genocide reconstruction of the health system in Gaza, the authors have failed to adequately contextualise their analysis, or the health system reconstruction policy proposal as commissioned by the Gaza Health Initiative [Gaza Health Rebuilding Initiative (GHRI), Future of the Gaza health system: Needs assessment. https://static1.squarespace.com/static/656c4ff5b219116063f8099e/t/65c30c4d3e80fd21f1165b57/1707281499127/Final+first+draft+-+Gaza+health+system+report.pdf . …”
