Increased local DNA methylation disorder in AMLs with DNMT3A-destabilizing variants and its clinical implication
Published 2025-01-01“…We present that methylomes of DNMT3A INS AMLs are considerably different from those of DNMT3A R882 AMLs in that they exhibit increased intratumor DNA methylation heterogeneity in bivalent chromatin domains. This epigenetic heterogeneity was associated with the transcriptional variability of developmental and membrane-associated factors shaping stem cell niche, and also was a predictor of the response of AML cells to hypomethylating agents, implying that the survival of AML cells depends on stochastic DNA methylations at bivalent domains. …”

Signatures of selection and candidate genes for adaptation to extreme environmental factors in the genomes of Turano-Mongolian cattle breeds
Published 2021-04-01“…Changes in the environment force populations of organisms to adapt to new conditions, either through phenotypic plasticity or through genetic or epigenetic changes. Signatures of selection, such as specific changes in the frequency of alleles and haplotypes, as well as the reduction or increase in genetic diversity, help to identify changes in the cattle genome in response to natural and artificial selection, as well as loci and genetic variants directly affecting adaptive and economically important traits. …”

CitGATA7 interact with histone acetyltransferase CitHAG28 to promote citric acid degradation by regulating the glutamine synthetase pathway in citrus
Published 2025-02-01“…While the transcriptional regulatory mechanisms of citric acid metabolism have been extensively studied, the understanding about the transcriptional and epigenetic co-regulation mechanisms is limited. This study characterized a transcription factor, CitGATA7, which directly binds to and activates the expression of genes associated with the glutamine synthetase pathway regulating citric acid degradation. …”

Balancing CIK Cell Cancer Immunotherapy and PPAR Ligands: One Potential Therapeutic Application for CNS Malignancies
Published 2024-12-01“…Results Using a clinical applicable PPAR‐γ inhibitor, we showed that (1) PPARγ‐antagonist GW‐9662 suppressed tumor cell growth in both neuroblastoma and glioblastoma cells, (2) PPARγ inhibition had restricted effect on the expression of Wnt/β‐catenin associated genes, (3) inhibition of PPARγ led to downregulation of DNMT1 expression, supporting their hypothesized interaction in cancer, (4) a partial modulation of global LINE‐1 methylation levels was observed, indicating their role in epigenetic processes, and (5) Combining PPARγ inhibition with CIK cell immunotherapy enhanced cell lysis significantly. …”
