Review on Networking and Control Technologies of Space Satellite Network by Xinyue LIAO, Ran ZHANG, Zhengxuan HUANG, Jiang LIU, Qinqin TANG, Tao HUANG

    Published 2023-09-01
“…With the rapid advancement of aerospace technology and satellite internet, high-speed and high-bandwidth satellite communication systems have gradually become an essential component of the next-generation mobile communication infrastructure. The trend in the development of satellite internet has propelled the commercialization process of satellite networks, with low earth orbit satellites playing a significant role in constructing satellite internet. The efficient and reliable network management of large-scale low earth orbit satellite networks, along with the integration of space and ground routing, has gradually emerged as a cutting-edge issue in the development of integrated aerospace networks. In recent years, as satellite networks have expanded in scale, numerous network management methods have been proposed.Firstly, begined by examining the development status of large-scale satellite constellations both domestically and internationally, surveying the existing network architecture and protocol systems of various satellite networks.Subsequently, based on the current development status of large-scale satellite networks, the challenges and key technologies involved in satellite management were analyzed. Finally, built upon the network integration of space and ground, existing solutions were extensively researched and analyzed.…”

Design of OFDM-IM system based on IRS-assisted by Mengmeng ZHAO, Liming HE, Fangfang LIU

    Published 2023-07-01
“…Index modulation (IM) and intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) are emerging mobile communication technologies. In order to improve the reliability of traditional orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system, an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing with index modulation (OFDM-IM) system based on IRS-assisted was designed.Firstly, the OFDM-IM system was designed by using spatial modulation and frequency domain modulation to increase the Euclidean distance between subcarriers. Then, by establishing an equivalent circuit model, a practical IRS model was obtained. Finally, an alternating optimization algorithm was used to optimize the active transmission power of the access point (AP) and passive beamforming of the IRS jointly. The simulation results show that compared to the benchmark scheme, the symbol error rate (SER) or bit error rate (BER) of the OFDM-IM system based on IRS-assisted can be reduced by 60%~90%.Especially in the case of high signal-to-noise ratio, the SER or BER of the system can reach 1.0×10-6, which indicates that the introduction of IM and IRS technologies has optimized the link transmission quality of end-to-end communication system. In addition, based on the IRS-assisted OFDM-IM system as the standard, simulations are conducted to demonstrate the impact of various parameters from the IRS model and IM.It concludes that the parameters in the system should be selected reasonably according to channel state information (CSI).…”

Curation, Algorithmic 'Caregiving' and Collective Archival Practices. Rethinking the Archival Work of Culture in Streaming Media by Valentina Re

    Published 2024-12-01
“…In the conclusion, I suggest that the work of culture as archival work is still active in the grey zone of digital ‘piracies’ and informal circulation, and that ‘curatorial’ impulses on the part of viewers emerge as a collective archival activity. I argue that the dialectic between formal and informal practices, and between the archive and network models, represents a vital area of inquiry for the study of streaming media that still deserves to be thoroughly scrutinised.…”
