Structural basis for the transport and regulation mechanism of the multidrug resistance-associated protein 2 by Eriko Koide, Harlan L. Pietz, Jean Beltran, Jue Chen

    Published 2025-01-01
“…Abstract Multidrug resistance-associated protein 2 (MRP2) is an ATP-powered exporter important for maintaining liver homeostasis and a potential contributor to chemotherapeutic resistance. Using cryogenic electron microscopy (cryo-EM), we determine the structures of human MRP2 in three conformational states: an autoinhibited state, a substrate-bound pre-translocation state, and an ATP-bound post-translocation state. …”

Threading Dislocations Piercing the Free Surface of an Anisotropic Hexagonal Crystal: Review of Theoretical Approaches by Salem Neily, Sami Dhouibi, Roland Bonnet

    Published 2018-01-01
“…In a first stage of the work, a new and alternative approach to the integral formalism is developed using double Fourier series and the concept of a finite core size, which is often observed in high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. In a second stage, the integral formalism and the Fourier series approaches are applied to the important case of a TD piercing the basal free surface of a hexagonal crystal. …”
