Research on the Fracture Properties and Modification Mechanism of Polyester Fiber and SBR Latex Modified Cement Concrete by Mingkai Zhou, Dong Fang, Deyong Jiang

    Published 2016-01-01
“…The modification mechanism of the latex and fiber on the concrete was also studied by the methods including X-ray test, chemically combined water, heat of hydration, water loss, and scanning electron microscope. Results indicated that the concrete modified by latex and polyester fiber has flexural strength, fracture toughness, and fracture energy of 44.4%, 397.0%, and 462.8% higher than the reference normal concrete, the polymer retarded the hydration process and reduced the hydration degree of cement at early age, while the hydration degree is promoted by the polymer film for its excellent water resistance after 28 d, and the bond between the fiber and cement paste is improved by the latex.…”

Chirality reversal of vortices induced by surface acoustic waves by Shuai Mi, Jinxuan Shi, Huibo Liu, Huiliang Wu, Huifang Qiao, Jianing Wang, Jie Dong, Xiaolei Li, Jiangtao Xue, Xiangqian Wang, Jianbo Wang, Qingfang Liu

    Published 2025-01-01
“…The reason for this change is that the spin–vorticity coupling induced by the SAW leads to a change in the macroscopic magnetic moment through angular momentum transfer between the mechanical and electron spins. Considering the spin–vorticity coupling equivalent field, called the Barnett field, we simulate the whole process of a vortex under a magnetic field with the help of SAW. …”
