Modeling of the 2.4 GHz wireless channel path loss in substation
Published 2016-07-01“…In order to assess the influence of electromagnetic interference in the substation of the electric power communication system, frequency measurement method was adopted to obtain the data of 2.4 GHz electromagnetic wave path loss of the substation of 110 kV and 220 kV in a certain city.By using the method of minimum mean square error (MMSE) and cumulative sum (CUSUM) to estimate the parameters of path loss model such as path loss index and the standard deviation, the path loss model was set up according to measured data, respectively. The simulation results show that the gap between estimation results and the measured values is not big.In addition,a ZigBee simulation system was constructed to simulate the relationship of bit error rate (BER) varies with distance in two cases of the signal to noise ratio (SNR) at 5 dB and 10 dB respectively.A research basis for short distance wireless communication devices decorated in the substation environment was provided.…”

Estimation of wireless channel fading model in maritime communication for complex meteorological environment
Published 2022-03-01“…Due to the influence of complex marine environmental factors such as sparse scattering of electromagnetic wave on the ocean surface, wave shadow fading, complex meteorological environment. It is extremely hard to model the fading of wireless channel in maritime communication environment. After analyzing the influence of meteorological environment and multipath channel fading via direct-path, specular-path and diffuse-path on marine wireless communication channel fading, the estimation of wireless channel fading model in maritime communication for complex meteorological environment (EWCFM-CME) was proposed. An improved bee colony algorithm was designed to estimation the parameter of EWCFM-CME.In order to improve the efficiency and accuracy of search algorithm, an iterative function with sin(·) function as operator was designed in search scheme of bee colonies. The leading bee received the detection bee solution to update itself with probability P.It prevents the solution algorithm from falling into local optimization. The simulation results show that, compared with fluctuate two-ray (FTR) fading model and round earth loss (REL) model, the mean absolute error (MAE) of EWCFM-CME increased by 13.58% and 11.43% By comparing EWCFM-CME with cuckoo search, genetic algorithm and simulated annealing algorithm, the search time is reduced by 60.48%, 45.18% and 43.23%, respectively.…”

Indoor wireless signal coverage and enhancement based on passive reconfigurable intelligent metasurface
Published 2022-12-01“…Reconfigurable intelligent metasurface (RIS) is a new type of artificial electromagnetic metamaterial, which can control the frequency, amplitude, phase, polarization, propagation direction and wave type of electromagnetic wave flexibly. In the field of wireless communication, RIS can be used to reconstruct the wireless communication channel to achieve blind coverage of wireless signals and improve the communication quality.First, the development and research status of RIS, the key technologies and application scenarios of RIS were summarized and analyzed. Then, a new passive RIS was proposed to realize the characteristics of the aperture reconfiguration and beam reconfiguration through passive coding and splicing principle, which had the advantages of low cost, low power consumption and low complexity. Finally, the blind area coverage enhancement experiment of indoor wireless signal based on passive reflection metasurface was carried out.The effectiveness of passive splicing metasurface in wireless communication blind coverage scenarios was proved by comparison between simulation and field measurement. In addition, for 5G/6G millimeter wave communication, the passive RIS with double-layer cross dipole elements was designed and applied to typical indoor L-shaped corridor scene to verify the enhancement effect of indoor wireless signal coverage.…”
