Low-complexity sparse channel estimation for massive MIMO systems
Published 2016-05-01“…Due to the high computational complexity of massive MIMO system,a low-complexity sparse channel estimation algorithm was proposed utilizing the inherent sparsity of the wireless communication channel to improve the estimation performance. The proposed algorithm separated channel tap from noise space based on the traditional discrete Fourier transform by adopting integral separation algorithm. This channel estimation algorithm need only calculate the channel tap, thus markedly reducing complexity of the algorithm.Numerical simulations show that proposed algorithm can approach to the performance of the minimum mean-square error estimator while maintaining lower complexity.…”

A Simulation Accelerating Method Based on CUDA with Kepler GPU
Published 2015-10-01“…An accelerating method based on CUDA(compute unified device architecture)with Kepler GPU(graphics processing unit)was proposed to speed up the DFT(discrete Fourier transform)processing in the communication simulation platform.Based on this method, the whole DFT processing was split into subtasks named molecular-subtasks corresponding to communication links and a molecular-subtask was further split into smaller parallel subtasks named atomic-subtasks which correspond to the DFT processing in a link. Then, the atomic-subtasks were processed in parallel by the threads in a GPU kernel function,as well as the molecular-subtasks were processed in parallel via several GPU kernel functions to shorter the simulation time.Simulation results show this method can speed up the DFT processing more than 300 times compared with single thread CPU program and 3 times compared with traditional GPU program.…”

SINR performance analysis of DFT spread generalized multi-carrier system
Published 2008-01-01“…A signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio(SINR) performance analysis method of discrete fourier transform spread generalized multi-carrier(DFT-S-GMC) system was proposed. The closed-form SINR expression based on simpli-fied frequency-domain equivalent implementation structure and MMSE equalization for receiver is derived by channel frequency response and noise variance, considering inter-block(IFBT symbol) residual interference multiplexed in time domain. Moreover,it can be easily extended to multi-receive antenna.By simulation results,it is shown that with pro-posed equivalent SINR,the BLock error rate(BLER) performance of DFT-S-GMC over slow fading channel is well matched with that over AWGN channel.…”

Low complexity codebook search method in massive MIMO system
Published 2019-01-01“…In Massive MIMO systems for 5G networks, precoding technology is one of the key technologies.Aiming at user side codebook search method of the discrete Fourier transform (DFT) rotation codebook,a low complexity search algorithm was proposed. In this algorithm, all horizontal and vertical codebooks were grouped separately according to the characteristics that the precoding vectors with the same column of DFT rotation codebooks had the smallest chordal distance and the smaller chordal distance have the stronger correlation, and then the optimal horizontal and vertical codewords with maximum channel gain were obtained to form 3D precoding code-books.The simulation results indicate that the searching complexity of the proposed method is significantly reduced under conditions of insuring the system performance, moreover, this advantage becomes greater with the number of antennas increasing.…”
