Published 2017-10-01“…The researcher has reached a number ofresults the most important of them are: (92) publishing houses and governmentagencies took part in the 6th book fair; the biggest beneficiary of the book fair atthe University of Jazan is the local community in all its segments; there are nofinancial allocations from the university budget to buy from the fair; books arepurchased for the university through tenders between companies; and it hasbecome clear that the participation of publishing houses and governmentagencies is also free.The study has reached a number of recommendations the most important ofthem are: The date of holding the annual book fair at Jazan University should bedetermined at a date not inconsistent with the dates of other exhibitions thatcould hinder some publishing houses from participating in the fair; and the bookfairs in Saudi Arabia should be studied in a comparative study in SaudiUniversities to get the best results and make the best use of them to develop fairsand its services.…”

Immune Response to Mycobacterial Infection: Lessons from Flow Cytometry
Published 2013-01-01“…Detecting and treating active and latent tuberculosis are pivotal elements for effective infection control; yet, due to their significant inherent limitations, the diagnostic means for these two stages of tuberculosis (TB) to date remain suboptimal. This paper reviews the current diagnostic tools for mycobacterial infection and focuses on the application of flow cytometry as a promising method for rapid and reliable diagnosis of mycobacterial infection as well as discrimination between active and latent TB: it summarizes diagnostic biomarkers distinguishing the two states of infection and also features of the distinct immune response against Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) at certain stages of infection as revealed by flow cytometry to date.…”
