Severe Guillain-Barré syndrome with concurrent optic neuritis in a pediatric patient: a case report
Published 2025-01-01“…Diagnosis is often supported by neuroconduction studies showing polyradiculoneuropathy and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) analysis revealing albumin-cytological dissociation. However, these features may not appear in the early stages, leading to potential misdiagnosis. …”

Transcriptome Analysis of Effect of Cordyceps militaris Aqueous Extract in Human Gastric Cancer Cell BGC-823 on Different RCD Pathways
Published 2025-02-01“…In addition to ferroptosis, the expression levels of hub genes associated with other signaling pathways were significantly inhibited, including the key factor of caspase-dependent apoptosis (CASP3, CASP9, CASP7, APAF1) as well as ULK1, ULK2, UVRAG, Atg14, and Atg5 related to autophagosome formation. Cytological examination revealed typical apoptotic morphological characteristics in gastric cancer cells treated with the XG water extract, with an early apoptotic rate reaching 24.8%, while cell cycle arrest occurred at the G2/M stage. qRT-PCR showed that the expression of BCL2, BCL2L1, CASP3, CASP9, and XIAP was significantly inhibited (P<0.01), whereas that of ENDOG and AIF was significantly upregulated (P<0.01), consistent with the results of transcriptome sequencing. …”

Recent Developments and Present Status of Telepathology
Published 2000-01-01“…The image quality, transfer rates, and screen resolution of active and passive telepathology systems are sufficient for an additional or primary judgment of histological slides and cytological smears. From the technical point of view, remote control telepathology requires a fast transfer and at least near on‐line judgement of images, i.e., image acquisition, transfer and presentation can be considered one performance function. …”

Mitochondrial targeting of Candida albicans SPFH proteins and requirement of stomatins for SDS-induced stress tolerance
Published 2025-01-01“…Here, we sought to determine the cellular localization and functionally characterize stomatin-like protein 2 (Slp2), prohibitin-1 (Phb1), prohibitin-2 (Phb2), and prohibitin-12 (Phb12) in C. albicans. Cytological and western blotting results showed that Slp2-Gfp/Rfp and prohibitin-Gfp fusion proteins localize to the mitochondrion in yeast cells. …”
