FATIGUE PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF CASTING CRANES CONSIDERING NON⁃LINEAR CUMULATIVE DAMAGE by YAN MengYu, WEI GuoQian, DUAN RuoChen

    Published 2024-08-01
“…Aiming at the fatigue problem of casting cranes in service process, considering the actual service load spectrum, the fatigue performance of casting cranes was analyzed based on the non⁃linear cumulative damage principle.Firstly, the stress time history of the key fatigue hot spots of the in⁃service casting crane in a steel plant was measured. Then, the one⁃dimensional load spectrum was compiled based on the two⁃parameter rain flow counting method and Goodman equal life equation. In addition, the commonly used linear cumulative damage model and low⁃high and high⁃low non⁃linear cumulative damage model were used to calculate and analyze the damage and life characteristics of the key parts. The results show that the fatigue load spectrum of casting cranes is closely related to the location of fatigue calculation point and the actual service process.Compared with the commonly used linear cumulative damage model, the non⁃linear cumulative damage model has higher prediction accuracy, and more conservative life prediction results can be obtained by using the high⁃low load loading sequence.…”

Research on Torsional Fatigue Test Method of Electric Vehicle Differential based on Actual Driving Load by Xihong Zou, Jinxiao Li, Qiuyang Hu, Shuaijie Xi, Lingfeng Fu, Dongmei Yuan

    Published 2021-01-01
“…After preprocessing the collected axle shaft torque load spectrum and analyzing the characteristics in time-frequency domain, it is determined that the load waveform of torsional fatigue test is sine wave and the load frequency is 0.5 Hz. Through rainflow counting and extrapolation, the loading amplitude and frequency are determined, thus a torsional fatigue test method for differential of electric vehicles is established. …”

“For REASON […] is nothing but Reckoning” : the Postulates of Hobbes’s and Descartes’s Rationalism by Jean-Marc Chadelat

    Published 2014-10-01
“…Its object is to dispel the mystery surrounding occult forces or immaterial entities with the tenets of a rational science founded on analysis and counting, i.e. calculation. The supremacy of reason asserted at the expense of any other human faculty finds expression first of all in a tendency to reduce all things to their constitutive parts, to bring these down to the level of their corporeal modality and determine them from a quantitative angle. …”
