    “…With the progress in society and information technology, the rapid emergency response capability for urban flood,drought,and wind prevention needs to be improved.Given the demand, this paper adopts the low-power Internet of Things (NB-IoT) communication technology to design water and rain telemetry terminals in the way of product integration instead of traditional system integration.This technology further reduces the dependence of the equipment on the external environment and improves the stability and reliability of the front-end data acquisition of the hydrological telemetry system,making it possible to deploy the hydrological telemetry terminal for monitoring on a large scale.According to urban emergency prevention and control requirements,Guangzhou Nansha District Flood and Drought Prevention Headquarters Office constructed a new generation of hydrological telemetry system with low cost,strong scalability,and high reliability.By quickly covering urban flood risk points,the system can master real-time water and rain data in the key position of Nansha District to assist the emergency decision,improve emergency response capabilities,and realize the precise distribution of flood control forces,thus reducing the property losses for urban residents.The results show that the hydrological telemetry system based on NB-IoT communication technology applied on a large scale for the first time in Guangzhou can provide efficient data support for dealing with various disasters in flood seasons.…”

    “…Cavitation damage is easy to occur in discharge structures with high head and large flow.Based on the spillway project of a hydropower station in Northwest China,this paper studies the aeration and cavitation mitigation of spillway through the single hydraulic model test.The experimental results show that:The velocity of spillway chute is larger and the flow cavitation number is less than 0.3 under different conditions of flood frequency,so it is necessary to set up aeration and cavitation mitigation facility.Through the analysis of the cavitation mitigation effect of three different aerators,it can be seen that the aerator with flip bucket can mitigate cavitation,but there are different degrees of splash in the downstream.The aerator with convex bucket can form a stable cavity,and there is no splash in the downstream.The aerator with chute can form a stable cavity and flow pattern in the chute,and it is easy to construct,so it is the optimal aerator.In the optimal aerator,the aeration concentration from aerator to the front of the bucket lip is higher,which is 0.9%~63.1%,the aeration effect is good,and the purpose of aeration and cavitation mitigation is achieved.The research results can provide theoretical guidance and technical support for the follow-up energy dissipation and erosion control research of this project and the aeration and cavitation mitigation research of similar projects.…”

    “…A combination of modal decomposition and deep learning forecasting methods was introduced to daily runoff forecasting to address the characteristics of unstable and volatile daily runoff series.Firstly,the complete ensemble empirical modal decomposition method was used to decompose the daily runoff time series,so as to obtain the modal components of different frequency components.Secondly,the daily runoff forecasting model was constructed for different modal components based on the long short-term memory neural network (LSTM),and the hyperparameters of the forecasting model were optimized using the grid search parametric optimization algorithm.Finally,the forecasting results of each model were modally reconstructed to obtain daily runoff forecasting results.The daily runoff forecasting of the Yichang hydrological station was taken as an example.Compared with the single LSTM,the RMSE,MAE,and MAPE of the proposed combination model were reduced by 65.02%,58.35%,and 2.88%,respectively.The decomposition effect of the complete ensemble empirical mode decomposition was better than that of the traditional modal decomposition method,which provided a new method and reference for nonlinear and non-stable daily runoff forecasting in a short time scale.…”
