Comparative analysis of morphologival parameters in isolated and fused L5 spondylolysis patients on the basis of CT features
Published 2025-02-01“…Patients with a pars interarticularis separation distance ≥ 2 mm were classified into the isolated group (Group A, 66 patients), while those with a separation distance < 1 mm were classified into the fused group (Group B, 51 patients).Additionally, 117 patients without spondylolysis but experiencing lower back pain were included as the control group (group C). Multislice spiral computed tomography (MSCT) was used to measure the morphological parameters of the L5 vertebra in all three groups, including the sagittal pedicle height (SPH), transverse pedicle width (TPW), transverse pedicle vertical length (TPVL), pedicle screw trajectory length (PSTL), pedicle angle of attack (PAA), frontal vertebral body height (FVH), posterior vertebral body height (PVH), sagittal midline intervertebral space height (SMISH), horizontal vertebral body angle (HVA), and vertical vertebral body angle (VVA). …”

Extensive Inactive Neurocysticercosis: A Case Report in Mbeya, Southern Highlands of Tanzania
Published 2025-01-01“…Taenia solium serology was done by LDBIO Cysticercosis IgG Western Blot test, which tested positive for antibodies, but the apDia Cysticercosis Antigen (Ag) ELISA antigen test was negative. His computed tomography (CT) scan of the brain showed approximately 138 calcified neurocysticercosis typical lesions, 108 being located in the parenchyma, 15 in the extra parenchyma, and 15 in the subarachnoid space, consistent with a diagnosis of extensive calcified NCC. …”

Physics-Informed Neural Networks for Modal Wave Field Predictions in 3D Room Acoustics
Published 2025-01-01“…Different methods like hyperparameter optimization, adaptive refinement, Fourier feature engineering, and locally adaptive activation functions with slope recovery are tested to tailor the PINN’s accuracy to an experimentally validated finite element analysis reference solution computed with openCFS. The hyperparameter study and optimization are conducted regarding the network depth and width, the learning rate, the used activation functions, and the deep learning backends (PyTorch 2.5.1, TensorFlow 2.18.0 1, TensorFlow 2.18.0 2, JAX 0.4.39). …”

An Arctic sea ice concentration data record on a 6.25 km polar stereographic grid from 3 years of Landsat-8 imagery
Published 2025-01-01“…The classified data were projected onto a 6.25 km polar stereographic grid, and SIC for each grid cell was obtained by counting ice-classified pixels within the grid. SIC was only computed for grid cells where more than 99 % of their area was covered with Landsat-8 pixels to limit the uncertainty in SIC arising from grids that are not fully concentrated with Landsat-8 pixels. …”
