Approach of detecting low-rate DoS attack based on combined features
Published 2017-05-01“…LDoS (low-rate denial of service) attack is a kind of RoQ (reduction of quality) attack which has the characteristics of low average rate and strong concealment. These characteristics pose great threats to the security of cloud computing platform and big data center.Based on network traffic analysis, three intrinsic characteristics of LDoS attack flow were extracted to be a set of input to BP neural network, which is a classifier for LDoS attack detection.Hence,an approach of detecting LDoS attacks was proposed based on novel combined feature value. The proposed approach can speedily and accurately model the LDoS attack flows by the efficient self-organizing learning process of BP neural network,in which a proper decision-making indicator is set to detect LDoS attack in accuracy at the end of output. The proposed detection approach was tested in NS2 platform and verified in test-bed network environment by using the Linux TCP-kernel source code, which is a widely accepted LDoS attack generation tool. The detection probability derived from hypothesis testing is 96.68%.Compared with available researches, analysis results show that the performance of combined features detection is better than that of single feature, and has high computational efficiency.…”

Improved LDPC-based short-range frequency-hopping wireless communication system
Published 2017-12-01“…In short-range wireless communication system(SWCS),the complex scenarios make its transmission face the diverse interference, and lower hardware resource leads to its limited anti-interference capability. To achieve the reliable transmission,a frequency-hopping-based SWCS (FH-SWCS)with improved LDPC (I-LDPC) code was constructed. In FH-SWCS,a low-complexity check-sum updating(LCU)algorithm was proposed to reduce the amount of computation.LCU-based multi-threshold bit flipping (LCU-MTBF) algorithm was given to increase the reliability of bit-flipping, improving decoding performance and reduce the complexity of decoding. The simulation results demonstrate that LCU is suitable for multiple hard decisions decoding algorithm, and it can reduce the computational complexity of original decoding algorithm without affecting its performance. When BER is 10−5,and iterations number is 5,0.15dB performance gain can be achieved, and the number of additions algorithm can be reduced about 40% in LCU-MTBF.In FH-SWCS with I-LDPC,when BER is 10−4,and SNR is 15dB,the performance gain about 7dB can be achieved to improve the anti-interference of the system effectively.…”

Design of hybridly-connected hybrid precoding in millimeter-wave massive MIMO system
Published 2020-03-01“…In order to improve the spectral efficiency of hybridly-connected hybrid precoding, the optimal hybrid precoding matrix under the ideal conditions was firstly obtained by using the principle of successive interference cancellation (SIC).Secondly, the optimal hybrid precoding matrix was decomposed into the digital precoding matrix and the analog precoding matrix by using the gradient descent theory. Finally, considering the constant modulus constraint condition of the analog precoding matrix, the digital and analog precoding matrices were optimized by using the alternating minimization method aim to maximize the spectral efficiency.Due to the hybridly-connected structure, the proposed hybrid precoding design algorithm is significantly superior to the partially-connected and fully-connected hybrid precoding in terms of the system energy efficiency.Meanwhile, the algorithm does not increase any hardware complexity and only increases a small amount of computation of the hybridly-connected hybrid precoding.Computer simulation results exhibit that the proposed algorithm can improve the system spectral efficiency of the hybridly-connected hybrid precoding, and the upgrade of spectral efficiency is more significant especially in the conditions that the number of radio frequency (RF) links is greater than the number of data streams.Since the sub-blocks are not necessary to satisfy orthogonality conditions, the proposed algorithm is more suitable for practical application than the existing hybridly-connected hybrid precoding.…”
