Multiuser cyclic shift keying spread spectrum underwater acoustic communication by Cheng-bing HE, Shao-jing JING, Fei HUA, Rui XI, Rui-yu ZHANG, Wen-tao SHI, Qun-fei ZHANG

    Published 2017-07-01
“…Aiming at the problem of low data rate and high receiver complexity of existing direct sequence spread spectrum code division multiple access (DS-CDMA),a novel code division multiple access (CDMA) using cyclic shift keying (CSK) signaling, namely CSK-CDMA,was proposed for multiuser underwater acoustic communication. The proposed method used the cyclic correlation characteristic of spread spectrum signals with M-ary modulation to provide a higher data rate than conventional.Passive time reversal technology was employed to suppress inter-code interference between users and the co-channel interference. The quasi-orthogonality of spread spectrum code was used to improve the processing gain.Multiuser communications are demonstrated with lake experimental recorded data under the condition of 5.27 km distance and complex multipath interference. The data rate is 39 bit/s/user for 6 users with bit error rate around 10-2~10-4.…”

Novel decoding of convolutional codes for OCDMA system by ZHOU Hai-xian, XU Guo-liang, YAO Wei

    Published 2009-01-01
“…The characteristics of optical code division multiple access(OCDMA) and convolutional codes were introduced.Based on the tunnel model of OCDMA with its multiple access interference(MAI), and according to its characteristics, a novel decoding of convolutional codes was proposed.Compared with the primary decoding, viterbi algorithm, the error robustness and rate of proposed decoding was studied. The analysis shows that this novel decoding can improve the error robustness capability of convolutional codes. It also can reduce the procedures in picking up the trellis when decreasing the decoding complexity and raising the decoding rate.…”

Performance analysis of space-time block-coded multitone CDMA system by YANG Wei1, WANG Xin-sheng1

    Published 2007-01-01
“…A space-time block-coded multitone code-division multiple-access(STBC MT-CDMA) system was proposed. The uplink bit error rate(BER) performance of the proposed system with maximum ratio combining(MRC) was theoretically analyzed in a multipath fading channel and the corresponding BER expressions were derived, which was verified through simulations.Numerical results show that the BER performance, error floor and capacity of the proposed system are improved significantly due to the joint space-time and path gain.…”

Construction method of optimal codebook based on Zadoff-Chu matrix by Yubo LI, Shengyi LIU, Jingjing ZHANG, Dongyan JIA

    Published 2020-03-01
“…Codebooks with low-coherence have wide utilization in code division multiple access (CDMA) communications, quantum information theory, compressed sensing and so on.In order to expand the number of codebooks, the restrictions on the transformation matrix were relaxed.Based on the Zadoff-Chu matrix, new codebooks were constructed using the difference set, almost difference set,and finite field character sum.The proposed codebooks were optimal or near optimal according to the Welch bound or Levenstein bound.Through experimental simulation,it is found that the deterministic measurement matrices constructed using these codebooks also have good performance in the process of compressed sensing.…”

Multiple access based on three-stage modulation in multi-band OFDM-UWB system by BAO Zhi-hua, ZHANG Shi-bing, ZHANG Guo-an, QIN Jin-jing

    Published 2007-01-01
“…According to the characteristics of multi-band orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing ultra-wideband(OFDM-UWB) system,a multiple access based on three-stage modulation(TSM-MA) was proposed. It combined multi-carrier code division multiple access(MC-CDMA) with orthogonal frequency division multiple access(OFDMA) and frequency hopping multiple access(FHMA),carried out the advantages of the three multiple access techniques. It reduced the multiple access interference and made full use of the available resource of the channel. The two-stage spread spectrum and two-stage frequency hopping were used to the TSM-MA for reducing the complexity of receiver.Simula-tion results showed that TSM-MA has obvious advantages in bit error rate(BER) performance over time frequency code multiple access(TF-MA) about 3 dB and lower complexity than that of TF-MA.…”
