Antifungal and Antibacterial Activities of Apple Vinegar of Different Cultivars
Published 2021-01-01“…The spread plate method revealed that samples S1 and S2 obtained from the Red delicious variety and Golden delicious variety, respectively, inhibit the growth of all tested strains, while S3 obtained from different varieties and S4 obtained from the Gala royal variety inhibit only two microbes (Escherichia coli and Vibrio cholerae). Sample S1 presented moderate antimicrobial effect against all examined strains with a diameter of inhibition ranging from 11 ± 0.7 to 19 ± 0.5 mm and with MIC values ranging between 1/2 and 1/100. …”

Evaluation of twin-arginine translocation substrate proteins as potential antigen candidates for serodiagnosis of brucellosis
Published 2025-02-01“…Both the combined protein group and YxeI displayed no cross-reactivity with rabbit serum immunized against Yersinia enterocolitica O9, Escherichia coli O157:H7, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Vibrio cholerae, Legionella, and Salmonella, indicating relatively good specificity.ConclusionThe findings of this study suggest that Tat substrate proteins serve as promising candidate antigens with significant potential value for the clinical diagnosis of brucellosis.…”

mtlA, a novel typing gene offering enhanced resolution for pandemic Vibrio species
Published 2025-02-01“…The results revealed that the mtlA gene was present in all common pathogenic species, providing comparable or even higher typing resolution than MLST, especially in Vibrio cholerae, Vibrio alginolyticus, Vibrio harveyi, and Vibrio anguillarum, enabling accurate typing and traceability; however, many species lacked allelic profiles of MLST genes, making it impossible to obtain accurate STs. …”
