Research on Energy Saving Algorithm of 5G Relay Cellular Network by Yangbo Guo, Zhizhong Zhang, Haonan Hu, Fang Cheng

    Published 2015-03-01
“…The energy saving issue of 5G relay cellular network was discussed.Relay technology is an important technology in the fifth generation mobile communication network(5G).By switching some base stations with low traffic into sleep mode, the energy can be saved. Therefore, the state of base stations in 5G may convert usually, the network topology and business changed over time.Considering both quality of service(QoS)and power consumption of the whole network,a dynamic energy saving(DES)algorithm was proposed to optimize the overall performance of QoS and energy efficiency for 5G relay cellular network.Simulation results under different traffic conditions demonstrate that the DES algorithm can reconfigure the network, shut down part of the base station and relay nodes to significantly reduce energy consumption, especially when the network load is low.…”

Energy Saving Optimization for Mobile Relays in Multicast Transmission Underlying Cellular Network by Jihong Zhao, Yuan Wang, Rui Tang, Zhenwei Zhang, Hua Qu

    Published 2015-04-01
“…Device-to-device(D2D)communication enables direct data transmission between mobile terminals(MT)in proximity by reusing the frequency of traditional cellular network. It is capable to improve individual quality of service(QoS),reduce MT's energy consumption and expand cell coverage.Particularly, when multiple MT request the same content of service at cell edge, some MT in their vicinity could relay the data to them by means of D2D multicast transmission. However, due to the limited battery lifetime of MT and spectral reusing between D2D and cellular communications, relay node selection and power control are two key techniques needed to be addressed.A particle swarm optimization based scheme to minimize the sum power consumption of mobile relays while guarantee the individual QoS requirement by incorporating both relay node selection and power control was proposed. The efficacy of our scheme was extensively verified through numerical results.…”

Performance study of hybrid spectrum access scheme in millimeter wave cellular network by Zhongjie LI, Yilei CHEN, Qianqian LIU, Cuitao ZHU

    Published 2018-08-01
“…In millimeter wave cellular networks, the spectrum efficiency of multi-operator dual frequency hybrid spectrum access scheme under open access mode was studied.Firstly,Poisson point process was used to model the distribution of base stations of each operator, the base station and carrier frequency were selected by users based on maximum received power criterion and high frequency carrier signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) threshold access criterion respectively.Secondly, the rate coverage was used as performance criteria to study the spectrum efficiency, and the theoretical expression of rate coverage was derived based on stochastic geometry theory according to channel model, path loss model and antenna model. Finally, the influence of user density, base station density and antenna gain on rate coverage was analyzed by simulation. The experimental results show that the multi-operator dual frequency hybrid spectrum access scheme has better spectrum utilization efficiency.…”

Secure opportunistic access control in D2D-enabled cellular network by Yajun CHEN, Xinsheng JI, Kaizhi HUANG, Jing YANG, Ming YI

    Published 2018-01-01
“…The mutual interference between cellular links and D2D links can bring the secrecy gain to cellular users in D2D-enable cellular networks. To make full use of them,a cooperative secrecy transmission scheme was proposed based on wireless channels. The channel direction information and gains depict the interference from D2D links to cellular links and other D2D links in the proposed scheme.Firstly, only the D2D users which meet the limited interference conditions were accessed to cellular networks to ensure their reliable communications. It was assumed that legitimate users and eavesdroppers were independent two-dimensional homogeneous Poisson point processes (PPP) distribution. Then the security outage probability (SOP) was derived for cellular users and the connection outage probability (COP) for D2D users, and the impacts of interference thresholds were discussed on their performances.Next,an optimization model was given to minimize D2D users’ COP while ensuring the secrecy performance requirements of cellular users, thus achieving the optimal performance. Finally, simulation results verify the validity of the proposed scheme.…”
