Assessment of phytochemical screening, antibacterial, analgesic, and antipyretic potentials of Litsea glutinosa (L.) leaves extracts in a mice model.
Published 2025-01-01“…In antibacterial studies, results showed that inhibition of bacterial growth at 400 μg dose of each extract clearly inhibited growth of bacteria from 11 to 22 mm. The extractives carbon tetrachloride fraction, chloroform soluble fraction, ethyl acetate fraction demonstrated notably greater inhibitory zone widths (p < 0.05) against tested strains.…”

Corrosion studies of Inconel 617 in high temperature air and He-ppmO2 atmospheres
Published 2025-01-01“…After the experiments, the alloys were characterized by electronic balance, were analyzed by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy-Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and carbon and sulfur analyzer. The results show that: the Inconel 617 alloy undergoes similar oxidation behavior and the degree of oxidation is very close in three groups of atmospheres with large differences in oxygen content; the alloy should show two oxidation mechanisms, linear oxidation and parabolic oxidation, during the oxidation process; the parabolic rate constant kp and kt of the alloy is a constant value and does not vary with large changes in oxygen concentration, but when the experimental temperature changes, the oxidation rate constants of the alloy change, and the lowering of the temperature leads to the lowering of the oxidation rate constants; When experimental temperature is at 950 °C, the alloy continues to undergo a “microclimatic reaction” in the atmosphere of He-ppmO2, and the microclimatic reaction disappears when the experimental temperature is lowered to 750 °C; In He-ppmO2 environment, gas chromatograph can be used instead of thermogravimetric analyzer for real-time monitoring.…”

Electrosynthesis of ethylene glycol from biomass glycerol
Published 2025-01-01“…We further assemble a zero-gap electrolyzer and demonstrate ethylene glycol electrosynthesis from glycerol to give a decent production rate of 1.32 mmol cm–2 h–1 under a 3.48 V cell voltage. The carbon intensity assessment based on a valid assumption reveals that our strategy may reduce CO2 emissions by over 80 million tons annually compared to conventional fossil fuel routes.…”

Segmental analysis of human hair reveals intra-annual variation in 25(OH)D3 concentrations in modern and archaeological individuals
Published 2025-01-01“…We also present data from an archaeological individual from the same city, with the addition of further isotope analysis (carbon, nitrogen, sulphur) to characterise diet. Results suggest possible positive correspondence of 25(OH)D3 levels with season in this archaeological individual, and possibly with marine protein consumption, highlighting the potential use of this approach in characterising the relationship between past vitamin D levels and diet. …”

Adsorptive Removal of Copper by Using Surfactant Modified Laterite Soil
Published 2017-01-01“…Characterizations of laterite were examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), and total carbon analysis. The optimum conditions for removal of Cu2+ by adsorption using SML were systematically studied and found as pH 6, contact time 90 min, adsorbent dosage 5 mg/mL, and ionic strength 10 mM NaCl. …”
