Ice‐Marginal Proglacial Lakes Across Greenland: Present Status and a Possible Future
Published 2022-06-01“…Abstract Ice‐marginal lakes can affect glacier dynamics but are ignored in studies of the evolution of the Greenland ice sheet (GrIS) and of peripheral mountain glaciers and ice caps (PGICs). Here we show that lakes occupy 10% of the GrIS ice margin and occur on 5% of PGICs. …”

Numerical Studies on Removal of Nitrogen and Phosphorus by Iron-Oxide Coated Zeolite in PHREEQC
Published 2021-01-01“…This paper conducts the column experiments in the laboratory, simulates the removal of nitrogen and phosphorus in groundwater by natural zeolite and iron-oxide coated zeolite through the geochemical model PHREEQC,respectively, and predicts and compares the long-term removal performance of nitrogen and phosphorus by natural zeolite and iron-oxide coated zeolite. The results show that the iron-oxide coated zeolite is able to remove nitrogen and phosphorus more effectively than natural zeolite with coexistence of the two pollutants. The main mechanisms of nitrogen removal by iron-oxide coated zeolite are ion exchange and physical adsorption, while that of phosphate are hydration reaction of iron oxide. The simulation results also show that the removal of nitrogen and phosphorus by iron-oxide coated zeolite differs from each other a lot under different pH conditions and thicknesses of capping material.…”

The role of CTGF and MFG-E8 in the prognosis assessment of SCAP: a study combining machine learning and nomogram analysis
Published 2025-01-01“…And 14 scoring methods, like F1 Score and AUC Score, were used to evaluate the prediction models.ResultsCompared to healthy controls, SCAP patients had higher serum levels of CTGF and MFG-E8, suggesting that these biomarkers are associated with poor prognosis. Compared to CAP patients, SCAP patients had lower levels of MFG-E8 and higher levels of CTGF. …”

Optimization Design of Brake Disc Structure for Brake Squeal Suppression
Published 2022-12-01“…By combining the central composite test design, Response Surface Method (RSM) surrogate model method and the Pointer optimization algorithm, and taking the minimum weighted brake squeal tendency coefficient as the optimization goal, the structural optimization design is carried out for the unilateral disc height, heat sink rib height, elastic modulus and disc cap height of the brake disc. The results show that the optimization design method proposed can significantly improve the efficiency of the optimization solution, effectively reduce the squeal tendency of the disc brake in the full frequency band, and suppress the generation of brake squeal noise.…”
