Biophysical Profiling of Tumor Cell Lines
Published 2011-01-01“…There were correlations between the signal maxima and the observed metastatic behavior of the cells in xenograft experiments; for most cell types the cells that were more highly metastatic in mice had lower time-course maxima values, however the reverse was seen in breast cancer cells. The unique profiles of these cell lines and the correlation of at least one profile characteristic with metastatic behavior demonstrate the potential utility of biophysical tumor cell profiling in the study of cancer biology.…”

Coronary Heart Disease in Postmenopausal Women with Type II Diabetes Mellitus and the Impact of Estrogen Replacement Therapy: A Narrative Review
Published 2014-01-01“…Coronary heart disease is the main cause of death in postmenopausal women (PMW); moreover its mortality exceeds those for breast cancer in women at all ages. Type II diabetes mellitus is a major cardiovascular risk factor and there is some evidence that the risk conferred by diabetes is greater in women than in men. …”

Neratinib as a Potential Therapeutic for Mutant RAS and Osimertinib-Resistant Tumours
Published 2022-09-01“…Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved as a neo-adjuvant therapy for use in HER2+ breast cancer. More recently, chemical biology analyses and the authors’ own bench work have demonstrated that neratinib has additional targets, which open up the possibility of using the drug in cell types that either lack ERBB receptor family expression or who rely on survival signalling downstream of growth factor receptors. …”

Potential role of circulating tumor cells and cell-free DNA as biomarkers in oral squamous cell carcinoma: A prospective single-center study.
Published 2024-01-01“…Circulating tumor cells and cell-free DNA have emerged as promising biomarkers for determining treatment efficacy and as prognostic predictors in solid tumors such as breast cancer and colorectal cancer. Hence, this study aimed to determine the potential role of liquid biopsy, circulating tumor cells, and cell-free DNA as biomarkers of oral squamous cell carcinoma. …”
