Application of therapeutical nanoparticles with neutrophil membrane camouflaging for inflammatory plaques targeting against atherosclerosis
Published 2025-02-01“…The resulting NNPST mimicked neutrophil function and significantly decreased macrophage‐mediated phagocytosis to prolong its own circulation time in the blood. Compared to pristine nanoparticles (NPST) without a membrane coating, NNPST achieved better plaque targeting in ApoE−/− mice, as indicated by neutrophils actively recruited in atherosclerotic lesions. …”

Unravelling the TCRβ repertoire: a key to unlocking the immunopathogenesis and precision medicine in SLE
Published 2025-01-01“…Our study aimed to delineate the variances in the TCRβ repertoire between patients with SLE and healthy individuals, correlating these differences with the severity and subtypes of SLE.Methods We conducted an analysis of blood samples from 50 treatment-naive patients with SLE and 50 healthy donors, employing RNA extraction, high-throughput sequencing and subsequent bioinformatics analysis. Results Our findings revealed significant alterations in TRBV and TRBJ gene usage frequencies, indicative of a skewed TCR repertoire in patients with SLE. …”

MODERN APPROACHES TO THE DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF NONISCHEMIC (ARTERIAL) PRIAPISM
Published 2017-12-01“…Primary, that is, unclear etiology, arterial priapism is described as a casuistic rarity.Laboratory-confirmed arterial priapism is a planned situation, not requiring immediate measures to stop the pathological erection, while the outcome of venous priapism directly depends on the duration of the disease and the success of emergency urological care. The main method of differential diagnosis of hemodynamic forms of priapism is the gasometry of blood obtained by puncture of cavernous bodies. The absence of hypoxia is a pathognomonic symptom of arterial priapism and serves as a rationale for angiography, the task of which is the topical diagnosis of vascular disorders. The revealed pathological vascular joints undergo superselective embolization. …”

Hippocampal Anti-inflammatory Effect of Electroacupuncture at Baihui and Shenting on Cognitive Dysfunction Induced by Systemic Inflammation
Published 2021-10-01“…After the behavioral experiment, immunofluorescence and ELISA were used to detect the changes of hippocampal Iba-1, TNF-α and serum TNF-α.Results1) Compared with the control group, the learning and memory time related to "what-where-when" in the model group was decreased (P<0.01), and serum TNF-α (3 h after LPS) and hippocampal TNF-α (24 h) were significantly increased (P<0.01); immunofluorescence and ELISA detection showed that hippocampal Iba-1 was significantly increased (P<0.01) in the model group. 2) Compared with the model group, "what" and "when" learning time in the EA group increased (P<0.01); the serum and hippocampal TNF-α were obviously decreased (P<0.01 and P<0.05); hippocampal Iba-1 in the EA group was decreased (P<0.05).ConclusionElectroacupuncture at Baihui and Shenting may improve the cognitive dysfunction caused by systemic inflammation via inhibiting the activation of hippocampal microglia and reducing the release of inflammatory factor TNF-α in the peripheral blood and hippocampal regions.…”
