Seismic Safety of Rockfill Dam with Asphalt Concrete Core on Overburden Layer by FENG Rui, LI Yuqi, SHI Wenjie

    Published 2023-01-01
“…As the rockfill dam with an asphalt concrete core is built over the thick overburden layer, the overburden layer affects the dynamic response of the dam and aggravates the whiplash effect.Cutoff structures are also affected, especially the cutoff wall of the dam base and the asphalt concrete core of the dam, which are thin and prone to crack during an earthquake, and hence, they are the weak links of engineering. In the case of a rockfill dam with an asphalt concrete core, its height is 85.5 m,and the cutoff wall of the dam base has a depth of 110 m.To explore the seismic safety of the dam and its cutoff system, this study employs the sub-modeling technique to analyze the seismic time history of the cutoff wall and the core on the basis of static analysis. The results indicate that the seismic effect greatly influences the top and bank slope of the core and both sides of the cutoff wall, and the range and value of tensile stress increase to a great extent. It is suggested that corresponding measures should be taken to reinforce local regions.…”

Scalable Low Power Accelerator for Sparse Recurrent Neural Network by Panshi JIN, Junjie LI, Jingyi WANG, Pengchong LI, Lei XING, Xiaodong LI

    Published 2023-12-01
“…The use of edge computing devices in bank outlets for passenger flow analysis, security protection, risk prevention and control is increasingly widespread, among which the performance and power consumption of AI reasoning chips have become a very important factor in the selection of edge computing devices.Aiming at the problems of recurrent neural network, such as high power consumption, weak reasoning performance and low energy efficiency, which were caused by data dependence and low data reusability, this paper realized a sparse RNN low-power accelerator with scalable voltage by using FPGA, and verifies it on the edge design and calculation equipment.Firstly, the sparse -RNN was analyzed and the processing array was designed by network compression.Secondly, due to the unbalanced workload of sparse RNN, it introduced voltage scaling method to maintain low power consumption and high throughput.Experiments show that this method could significantly improve the RNN reasoning speed of the system and reduce the processing power consumption of the chip.…”

User behavior pattern mining method based on multi-dimension and multi-granularity analysis in telecom networks by Xiaotao CHENG, Lixin JI, Ruiyang HUANG, Hongtao YU, Yizhuo YANG

    Published 2018-10-01
“…In order to better understand the behavior of users in telecom networks,it takes CDR (call detail record) data of large-scale telecom network as the research object.By using the mixed probability model and feature engineering method, the multi-dimension characteristics of the call time, call frequency and connections are analyzed from the perspective of user groups and individuals. It is further refined from different time granularities such as hour, day, and week to realize effective discovery of call behavior patterns for different user groups. The distribution characteristics of user behavior are modeled by mixed probability model, which solves the problem of describing the distribution characteristics such as user's call time and frequency.Based on the dataset of a regional telecom network, the performance of decision tree, naive Bayes and SVM classification algorithm are compared. It proves the validity and computational feasibility of the proposed method. The differences in communication behavior patterns of different groups are also compared by taking the service numbers like express, flight and bank as examples.…”
